Re: Disney retro-VHS collection announced

You're right, that would have been more believable. But I don't think it would have been as funny!

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Back in February, a few weeks before this hit the west, I heard a news story talking about how it was a good idea in general just to have a month's backup of food and certain other household products. I wasn't expecting anything like this to actually happen and so soon. But I still thought it was a ...

That's great Julian! We were hoping making commenting easier might bring back some people. And I don't think I've changed my avatar in a decade!

Re: Onward - Review

Technically they’ve been releasing the streaming version before physical media for years — the digital copy is always available to buy two weeks before the Blu-ray on iTunes (and other platforms). I used to want to start a website documenting all those Disney knockoff videos. Which I had got around ...

Article commenting is here!

Article comments are finally here! Read the announcement (and make a comment!) here: https://animatedviews.com/2020/whats-your-view-tell-us-in-the-comments I'll fess up and say I was probably the biggest hold up to this getting done sooner. Long story short, I worried that adding comments would ruin...

Blazing Dragons retrospective

So what did you think of Dan's retrospective piece on Blazing Dragons? Any fans get hit with some nostalgia? I don't remember this at all but found it a fun read!

Re: Onward - Review

Hey E, I spoiler-ed a part of your post. This is opening weekend still so just being safe!

That was the one joke I was pointing out to my family after we saw it too! There's also a frozen yogurt place called Master Froyo!

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

Might give it a go then! I could have sworn that early reviews mentioned sex scenes with nudity, f-bombs, and gore. Which, like I said, I have no issue with in other properties. But that's not Star Trek, and if anyone wanted to add that in then they're tossing away longtime fans to try to pander to ...

Re: Addams Family CG Movie

I'm not trying to redefine the actual definition of immigrants. I'm just saying IF there was an actual immigrant dynamic in the story to be had, it would really be the townsfolk moving to land that butted up against land the Addams had lived on for over a decade. (Pretty sure it was a new town since...

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

Discovery is AWESOME, Vi. Check it out somehow, if you can. It's sophisticated, unpredictable, and has a great cast. I bought the Blu-ray sets, which might be how I end up seeing Picard someday. I've always been a Star Trek over Star Wars man. But I heard the first season had nudity, cursing, and w...
