Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Looks like some other stuff just got taken off this week too. Mostly Fox content and some Christmas stuff. Nothing that would draw people back if vaulted. I'm thinking this does look more like Disney is maybe rushing stuff out and then fixing it later. I know there are a lot of issues with The Simps...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

I read about that last week. I think Disney responded that there was some kind of problem with those movies and I guess they're being re-encoded or something like that. I'll see if I can find it again.

Animated Christmas games

Hopefully we can get back to doing stuff like this more regularly, but until then here are two of our older Christmas-related interactive games! Re: Official Star Wars Thread

I thought this was the best of the sequel trilogy. But I didn’t think those last two were that great. Definitely enjoyable, but I wish they had planned these movies out in advance rather than make them one at a time.

Huge disconnect form the critics and the fans it seems.

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

Yeah, that’s actually a very common opinion (about Riker’s beard); in fact it’s become so prevalent that the term “Riker’s beard”, is now in the Urban Dictionary! :). Put simply, it’s the opposite of that OTHER term “jump the shark”. So basically when a show has some growing pains (no pun intended!...

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

...Supposedly, the show never really “got good” until season 4. Also that season 1 was mostly “a shambles” that 2 wasn’t much better, and that 3 was mostly mediocre. Until Best of Both Worlds part 1 (last ep of season 3) the show was mainly sci-fi cheese... Well...... I usually say the show ...

Re: The Lion King Remake

It's so frustrating and odd in not being its own thing. The smallest throwaway moments from the original got stretched out to overlong sequences, while the big emotional moments were all truncated. That was one of my biggest complaints. How long was the stupid segment with the fur blowing in the wi...

Re: Farmageddon going straight to Netflix?

I'm going to disagree. Theatrical wide releases have been our criteria. We haven't listed every independent film that played in 200 theatres on there. We haven't put straight-to-home-video releases on there, even if they were slated for the big screen when planned. And we definitely haven't put TV m...

I think WandaVision will be safe because it sounds like it might be setting up Doctor Strange 2.

Oh how could I forget this?! Cheap hobby, yes... except for this: a window sign from an old video rental store with the Disney Classics black diamond VHS logo! I did pay an embarrassingly large amount of money for it!

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

All these years that I've known him, and I had no idea that James was so insane! This is the first glimpse we have had at James The Collector. Wow. :) Oh ho, my friend, it gets worse! As I said, I'm being a bit of a completist, so I'm also collecting VHS tapes of short films that were included in t...
