Re: Li(ve)lo & Stitch
This felt like an unusually pointless remake. I was just so-so- on the original, really (fun enough, but it didn't grab me as much as it did for others), and I have so far taken a pass on seeing the new film or getting a disc. Ho-hum. Mild curiosity will get me to look at it on D+ at some point.

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!
I just did a big Hanna-Barbera catch-up order, and will order Tom and Jerry ASAP. too.
The Extras podcast with George and Jerry also stated this week that "this is just the beginning," hinting at further deluxe animation sets.
C'mon, Happy Harmonies!!!

Re: Back to the Future
I hadn't seen about the new disc, but prior releases already seemed pretty comprehensive.

Re: DC Universe
Here's some Insightful commentary about Superman 1978 and 2025, by Jon Bogdanove, who drew Superman for several years in the 1990s (he also named his son Kal-El; the dude loves Superman). This puts into words something I've felt subconsciously, and I like what he has to say. I'm not sure that his ...

Re: Back to the Future
Nice, but just another repackaging. Lots of that happening these days. But I guess there are always new collectors wanting to get something like this. Or old collectors wanting every version. I'm not one to judge. Me, I'm happy with the Complete Adventures Blu-ray set (with the cartoons included ...

Re: DC Universe
I think this is a very fair assessment, seen on Facebook. It certainly reflects my own reaction to Superman. While I quite enjoyed it, I didn't find myself loving it as much as a lot of people. It's not great art; just a fun comic book-y ride. But above all, there was relief that it wasn't a Snyder ...

Re: DC Universe
Well, that seemed unnecessarily(?) cryptic....
I spoke to someone today who had issues with the film due to all the scientific inaccuracy; to which I pointed out it's a fantasy film, not sci-fi. But it obviously wasn't the film for her if she was getting too caught up on the science. Similarly, if ...

Re: comic strips discussion
I have seen no official list yet, but it does seem we know what to expect. And I agree - all those specials in one set is already terrific.
Thanks for the YT link. I hadn't gotten around to looking for it yet. I'll skim through it. I love Peanuts, but love only carries one so far. ;)

Re: comic strips discussion
Ironic you say that as red truck is one of the most wanted specials in fact the blu ray forums many are upset it's not on there!
Sorry, I should clarify that all involved in its production want to forget it! Fans clamour for it, though, especially if they've never seen it. I haven't, and I'd ...

Casper gets a good shout-out in the ILM doc on Disney+. A bit of a milestone for them.

Re: comic strips discussion
I can see the music rights preventing Snoopy The Musical. The Super Bowl one has rights issues with the NFL, and maybe ABC. Pied PIper is likely still owned by Paramount. Paramount may have also had a hand in Birthday. Girl was a poorly-received live action/animated hybrid that everyone seems to ...
