Re: DC Universe
Naturally, I loved Superman. It may not be as great as the hype, but it was very satisfying for me. This was a recognizable Superman, right from the comics and cartoons. Re: DC Universe
All the positive reactions have me very pumped. It sounds like just the Superman film I wanted to see. We are going to see it on Saturday night.

Re: Cartoon Brew under new ownership
From what Amid said, it sounds like it was just time to take on new challenges. I think he's eager to finish his book, and find other things to do.
The new owner has written tons of articles for the site already, so I wouldn't expect much of a change. Maybe a little less snark.

I saw Amid's video yesterday. Kinda a shock, but life goes on. He will focus on his Walt Kimball book now, and then... who knows?

Re: Disney Pixar's Elio
Right. I was just about to post this excerpt from Cartoon Brew:
All three directors get credit for the final film, though Molina’s credit is not placed upfront alongside Sharafian and Shi and appears later in the credits crawl.

As Dan said, the CC 4K for Flow is a three-disc set, with 2 BDs. Blu-ray.com confirms.

Not quite the same level, but I was excited to visit the Cinerama Theatre in Seattle a few years ago - one of only two Cinerama theaters left in the US (neither is open now, as far as I know). Sadly, I was not there for their Cinerama Film Festival, and had to settle for.... Suicide Squad.

Sigh. I know it's gotta be a rights nightmare, but this film is a grail item for me.

Still no disc release date for Canada. Guess I'm ordering from the US.

Re: Sesame Street
Reuniting Muppets sounds nice, but Netflix is a great home for Sesame Street, I think. D+ is a big streamer, but no one approaches Netflix for reach these days. It's just great that someone came to the rescue.

Re: Happy 30th Goofy movie
Reminds me of the idiotic "John Carter" naming instead of "A Princess of Mars." Because "John Carter" sounds better to teenage boys than a beautiful girl and space fantasy.
