Re: Hanna-Barbera Studios returns!
I knew the H-B history, but appreciate seeing the photos. And I was not aware of the Henson part! Very nice. So much history!

Re: Space Jam 2
Assuming the... kind of people who want to symbolically beat up on the "social implications" of movie and cartoon characters never actually watch the movies and cartoons closely enough to remember any lines from them, they often forget that Pepe usually got beaten up for his romantic pursuits he ne...

Agree on all points, droo!
I'm pretty sure we'll see another Tex volume.
My H-B shelves are bursting, but I'll always take more. There are still a few outstanding classics yet to be released.

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES
Nah, you're fine. I think the racism angle is being played up too much, though increased sensitivity (from Johns and Whedon) may have helped. And the fight over "Boo-Yeah" is so dumb. I didn't' care for the cartoon's characterizations to start with. I generally side with Ray, but wonder if he is bei...

Okay, the latest word form The Digital Bits: https://thedigitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/040621-1500 Speaking of the Warner Archive Collection, we want to take a moment to remind everyone that even though WB Shop has officially closed, Warner Archive Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K titles can now be purcha...

Yes, and the complete film has about 30 seconds of added material. The cover art is nice, too.

Re: DC Universe Animated Original Movies
Looks okay, though I don't see any Archer look in there myself. I wonder if they'll change the end reveal (in Part 2), like they did for the adaptation of Loeb's Hush. I am not as much a fan of the comic as some, but I will enjoy seeing this. But do I wait to pick up the inevitable complete film rel...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
Look, guys, the fact is that SOME people WILL pay the Premier (sic) Access price. They're not dumb, they just make their own choices on how to spend their money. Just like audiences would pay to go to the theater (at least pre-pandemic), even though a film could be rented or would be on Netflix a wh...

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Yeah, and the first suggestion I saw was for HBO Max. Uh-huh.
I wonder if this will be all there is to the revamp. I suspect so.

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Hmmmm....! I did not get that email. Well, that's interesting. Given that they are at the least changing the company running the store, one wonders how big a renovation we are looking at, and how far along it is. It also makes the term "close-out sale" seem disingenuous if they are already preparing...

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
It's been known for weeks that WB Shop was winding down. The company running it was dismissed. Close-out sales were happening. I suppose it's possible that something will replace it, but for now I'm not holding my breath.

Nope, the WB Shop is done. Over. Finis. Closed for good.

Warner Archive will still be available through Amazon, as you noted, and perhaps other outlets.
