Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

Oh my gosh Christopher Barnes??? That’s awesome! Also he was the voice of Spidey/Peter Parker in the mid-90s Fox Kids cartoon if I’m not mistaken. He was very good in that too. :) Greg Brady (playing guitar): Clowns never laughed before... VB Sequel is hands-down the better one in my opinion....

Re: The Lion King Remake

Yeah, plus in the 94 version, he actually says: “Brother...help me!” . It was so moving and distressing because it showed that even with everything, Mufasa still considered Scar his brother and was pleading for him to remember their connection and save Mufasa’s life, even with all the “bad blood” be...

Re: The Simpsons

Awesome poster Dan, thanks for linking! :) Yeah, IIRC they also did “To Serve Man” back in Season 2 (with James Earl Jones!) plus “It’s a good life” with Bart (who else??) in the Bill Mumy role. (Also “Clown Without Pity” from season 4 was partially based on “Living Doll” aka Talking Tina.) Don't th...

Re: The Lion King Remake

Yes, and the worst part is Simba himself! You can barely even see him, much less the expression on his face while he’s watching his father being trampled to death! :(.

Just ugh.

Re: And the person who is rebooting The Flinstones is....

"Hey Brian, want to get the rock out of here?" " Rock yeah!" My favorite moment in the Multiverse ep. I really hope this pans out! Macfarlane is just so good at honoring "old stuff" while pointing out its flaws in an accurate but respectful way. (Loved those Vaudeville piano players from earl...

Al Gore on "ManBearPig", via the Daily Show. Lol. (Man, is he a good sport! :o ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG-Cp1y0UO8#action=share I remember finding the original ep from thirteen years ago ( ) really funny, but haven't watched the follow-up yet. But I will ASAP! :) "I am super serial!"

Re: Toy Story 4

On the “Gabby” name issue, Gabby (or Gaby, as the comic spelled it) was also Charles Xavier’s ex-girlfriend Gabrielle Haller and mother of his child David (Legion). They first met in Israel at a hospital for Holocaust survivors. She was actually Charles’ patient suffering from the effects of ptsd. (...

Overwhelmingly insane...but I absolutely have to own this! :) https://www.amazon.com/William-Shakespeares-Thee-Back-Future/dp/168369094X Basically, a complete Shakespearean translation of the first BTTF film, written by experts. Some sample lines: “Pay heed: preserve the tower of the clock! Our gran...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. I’d completely forgotten about that outtake, and when re-watching the clip just now, it actually seemed much tamer than it did when I read its description in the article. Definitely not suitable material for a contemporary joke, but not in any way a candidate for out-ri...

Re: Netflix "trying out" commercials in front of shows

Definitely. My favorite one is definitely the Eddie Barzune speech. Amazing scene. (Even more so for how unbelievably prophetic it was in predicting what the 21st century would end up being like. :?)

Short review; my immediate thoughts. !!!!!!!!!MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!! Finally saw this earlier today; I was so affected by it that for now I’ll just jot down my first impressions: A.). Brilliant, beautiful...and devastating. C.). I know Lasseter definitely played a creative role in this film...

Re: Netflix "trying out" commercials in front of shows

Lol. :). Towards the end it definitely was, probably because the script kind of falls apart during the last twenty minutes and he doesn’t have much to work from. Heck, even Pacino couldn’t really save the material at that point; he just sort of pulls out all the stops and overacts to his heart’s con...

Re: Netflix "trying out" commercials in front of shows

Umm...was watching The Devil’s Advocate (one of my favorite movies, Keanu is actually excellent there) on Prime and...they now have about two minutes’ worth of commercials right in the middle of the film, and not just once but many times throughout. :?) I mean I do understand, that with less and les...
