Re: Daryl (1985 movie) Returns In TV Show!

Oops...maybe should have mentioned this a couple of months ago when it was first given the greenlight...? But I guess I thought no-one would remember this, and then, while I was quite down with an update, I’m not sure how I feel about this turning into a comedy take that doesn’t actually make much s...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

From the "Hi, Freeze, I’m Batman", Clooney has no weight and just sounds like a lounge singer. "Hi, Freeze, I’m Batman. Here’s a little song I thing you’ll remember..." The guy has absolutely no gravitas in either role, and I’m sorry but I just disagree about any dramatic chops: his "Clooney charm" ...

Re: The DOCTOR WHO Thread

The McGann movie is Universal's. Cushing's were actually Amicus films, now owned by StudioCanal. All three naturally licensed the property from the BBC, who get co-pro credits, and a co-copyright on the TV movie, which is part of the classic canon. In an international style split, I believe the BBC ...

I think Clooney could have been fine. I liked him better than Kilmer, or even Bale to be honest.

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Bat-nap. I like that. :) I actually like Forever, and would maybe sorta kinda probably place it second after Returns (yes, above '89) But in reality it’s a third-tier movie, precisely because it’s so clear great chunks have been cut out. But there’s a pretty good movie in there somewhere, Wa...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)

I know what you mean! Covid-19 is more correct as a description than corona, though, since covid is just one virus in the coronavirus family (SARS is another). So coronavirus is the "parent", if you like, and the likes of SARS and Covid-19 are what one actually catches and, hopefully doesn’t, dies f...

Re: Terminator Franchise

Xactly! Like I said above, Genysis was intriguing, and I’d have been up for more. Seemed like a good way to reboot things, but it’s definitely now a standalone since Fate ignores it. But exactly for the reasons you say, I think one should view T3 and Salvation before Fate, not only because they are ...
