Re: Live action Tom and Jerry Movie

(Er, wouldn't arrogant people in a rush to end their lives be the ones seeing it in a theater? Presumably California or Florida?) Er, I’m obviously talking about the modern rush of life in general, and not about Covid times specifically, where everything is me, here, now, and people are in such a r...

Re: Mulan (Live-action remake)

Xactly. Three months flashes by so fast that I don’t know what people's problems are in waiting for cinema films to come to home video. It literally flashes past — so often I’m in a store (obv pre-2020) and am surprised that a movie I saw advertised "last week" suddenly has a bunch of copies on the ...

Re: Live action Tom and Jerry Movie

Arrogant people in a rush to get to the end of their own lives: "I want to watch new movies at home!" Sensible People with patience and a respect for filmmaking craft: "Wait just a couple of months after they’re in cinemas and then you can!" Pirates: "Bring it on! Once these brand new films h...

Yeah, that’s the teaser poster for the original animated pic. Darn, that’d be nice.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

Was that the old or new, or a combi one like they’ve done for Maleficent, etc? Might have been interesting, but the hot rewards don’t seem to hang around for long!

Thanks Dan! :)

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

Filoni produces Mando, so if Disney didn't care about following up on the cartoons, they picked the wrong guy. I liked the cartoons, and they have been the best thing about Star Wars for a while now. Though, I wonder if those threads may be spun off onto yet other shows, too. There is no doubt that...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

But...clearly as a Rand has said, the Blandaborian is looking like it’s continuing a Rebels storyline... And I will say that none of the Blando episode endings I have seen have been actual cliffhangers... Do Shocking Season Finales get the network to renew a show? Um, tell that to scores of programs...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

"Wanting", no. Expecting, yes! But, I guess I’m just slowly coming around to the same view that SW as a major film franchise was done a long time ago. Which is kind of odd coming from someone who honestly believes that SW is just one movie, or at a stretch the initial trilogy, and everything else is...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

No, my expectations for any show that has been given this amount of front-loaded bias in the launch of a major new subscription service are what were high. And it being SW and apparently making up *and* restoring faith post-sucky-sucky-sequel series put it on an even higher pedestal. Ultimately, tho...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

Totally serious.

Okay, so it’s not crap, but it’s not good either, is it? Search your feelings, you know it to be true! There’s a reason we here have started calling it the Blandoborian...

1) You’re really not missing much.

2) There’s really very little to have spoiled. Seriously. Nothing actually happens.

3) :)

Good to see Noelle added here...put it on my watchlist the other night, though as much as I do like Anna Kendrick it’s not at the top of the pile yet. Maybe nearer Crimbo...!

They should have saved that for the start of BP2. Imagine the reaction that would have got if they’d kept it under wraps.

Re: Despicable Me 3

It’s the footage that was shown in the Shrek 4D ride at the Universal theme parks. It got its own release as a repurposed short film on DVD before being absorbed into DWA's collection of specials and shorts.
