I bet you don’t.
(I was just going to delete this like all the other spam posts, but thought I’d make that little joke. Savor it for a day or two, as this thread, like Flopsy, is toast come Monday morning…!)

Re: YouTube Goodness
More to the point, even at an easy and quick paycheck, how do they get these people to provide the voices!? I honestly couldn’t make it past 30 seconds of the second video, and just skipped through, having to check out when I heard a snippet of a "song". Such time and energy put into such…well…who k...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
Considering it was one of Walt's last, from 1967, Miller had nothing to do with it (yes, I know I said 70s, but that’s been the majority of them on TPTV). Griffin was just such a chore, though. Absolutely no magic at all, and the end was just pretty stupid, and then just stopped. Ah, well, at least ...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
That’s weird… There are seemingly more Disney movies turning up on regular network TV here in the UK than for a very long while. Beauty And The Beast (the proper one) just played on the BBC here on a Sunday afternoon, The Lion King (the proper one) has also played recently, and the good old Talking ...

Re: The Muppets
I donut remember Howard having anything to do with the Lennon doc, and 1988 is a very, very long time ago to trade on any reputation…! I expect they’ll touch on the "darker side", but in a "this was just Jim being frustrated by the constraints of The Muppets" kind of way, which is kind of fair enoug...

Re: The Muppets
Better, but still not quite there. Maybe "The Lovers, The Dreamers And Jim" to reflect that it’s about him, not from him. But I’m not sure just what you’d call a Henson film, really. The guy was just so smashing it almost defies a title.

Re: Oscar Chat 2024
I get the change, but several previous films already being voted on for BAF as well as international or documentary features kind of suggest this wasn’t really necessary? And there was nothing stopping other films from putting themselves forward for other categories, but the companies actually have ...

Re: The Muppets
I’d forgotten the name of this talking to someone the other day, and now that I see it again, "Idea Man" can’t even begin to describe Jim in a title. I don’t know what could, and "Muppet Man" is also too obvious (and the name of an unproduced biopic script), but "Idea Man" is just so…bland! Only jus...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
It’s gonna be better than Flash, that’s for sure (though that bar was set so low it was buried!). Loving the destroyed 20th Century Fox (yes, Fox!) logo in the background, making it clear that era's films are finished for good…well, outside of "THE X-Man" making it into this one. Too many f-bombs as...

Very "classic Hollywood", yeah (though I’d have said more 1940s than 50s)!

Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes
The fact it has a logo suggests they’re calling it The Smurf Movie to differentiate from previous Smurfs movies, but because everyone is used to saying Smurfs, THR hasn’t picked up that they dropped the s and continues to call it The Smurfs Movie. Either that, or someone is in big smurf because they...

Re: Iron Giant
When I ran this as part of our WB100 series last year, I stumbled over this commercial when picking which trailer to play in my coming attractions slot, and my jaw hit my desk! They just didn’t know how to sell the movie. Then again, they had very little interest in selling this film, or taking any ...

Re: Manga & Anime THREAD
It's simples! Hollywood still doesn’t get that "cartoons" don’t just have to be kids' stuff. Audiences get this, wanting to see all kids of stories tokd in all kinds of mediums, including traditional animation. If it’s not a CGI bubblegumfest, Hollywood doesn’t get it!
