Just wondering, does anyone else have problems with defective BDs? So far, I've had trouble with Final Fantasy VII:Advent Children (the disc froze up about five minutes into the film and I had to unplug the player to even get it to turn off) and Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Same deal at the Crazy 88s fight, bu...

More Star Wars is always good, but my take on this is that any future SW films should be done by Lucasfilm Animation so at least they can get the original actors to voice their characters (since it's highly likely that most of them may not physically be able to do it at this point).

And it doesn't help matters when some shows don't get a complete release. I really got into Hikaru no GO and was disappointed when the last third or so of the series didn't make it to dvd here. They say they don't want people to download stuff, but sometimes they leave you no choice!

Upgrading stuff from VHS to DVD was always a no brainer, but now that I finally have a bluray player (yay!), the question of whether to upgrade or not, for me, comes down to whether or not the BD has any extra stuff that's not on the DVD that I want. For example, I probably won't upgrade Snow White ...

Funny, I saw a brief "on the set" piece on one of the entertaiment shows (The Insider? Entertainment Tonight?) shortly before it was cancelled. How could they have done the piece if there was nothing going on? Curious...

But not nearly as much as Daniel Craig. It's a shame the next Bond movie got cancelled (after they had already started filming it, no less. If the studio decided not to do anymore, why oh why didn't they let them finish the one they were working on first?).

Hey Baree, Ponyo isn't Miyazaki's best film (I felt the film lacked a proper climax and the resolution came too easily), so if you liked that, check out The Castle of Cagliostro sometime.

The new movie is supposed to be inspired by Ultimate Spidey, right? Well, I hope they don't forget the Ultimate book's strength, which is that the story is really about Peter Parker with Spider-Man being almost a secondary character. Maybe that approach doesn't appeal to everyone, but that's the rea...

Nah, just "Starfighter". Not the most creative title, but it'll probably be cool to see how they update the look of the Gunstars.

I've heard that a sequel to The Last Starfighter is being worked on. They manged to get the original writer and director back as well as original star Lance Guest. Sounds good to me!

First Gundam is being rereleased? Awesome! I always wanted to see the original series but $200+ to buy ten individual volumes was out of my price range. Here's hoping the rerelease is more reasonably priced (i.e. no more than their other Gundam boxsets).

And in case any of you guys missed it (like I did since my local comics shop doesn't carry BOOM's stuff), the first Darkwing Duck arc, "The Duck Knight Returns", will be getting a TPB release in december! Here's hoping they do the same for Rescue Rangers.
