As I said on UD, I agree with your review a whole 100% Ben. Never thought I'd say this, but we have the same opinion on this! This film had a lot of potential, but it's just too bad they didn't use it...

I have not seen the movie yet... I have only read the full script and it's really a great thought-out script. It could be that some people here will still dislike the movie when they see it, but I will accept that critism faster than the critism on an 8 minute butchered-up clip ;)

Cinderella breaks out into song because she is uplifting herself. You see her getting to that point before she breaks into the song actually... First she's dissapointed that the Prince won't see her, then she's thinking how she should solve that thus making her feel happy that everything could work ...

I have a mixed up feeling about this... On one hand I trust Joh & Ed in what they're doing, but on the other hand I just would like to know why they didn't try to convince Chris Sanders to go traditional animation like they "suposedly" did with Glen Keane. If it's true that WDFA will be doing tradit...

Oh yeah, blame it on the trailers :D Just kidding ;) But Disney buying DWA? I hope that won't happen! That would mean that Katzenberg would be at Disney again, and I don't want to see him in the Disney buildings ever again. However, maybe he has learned his lesson now and learned that animation is N...

I also didn't think this trailer was funny, at all... The only part I thought was a bit funny was when Donkey turned into Puss... But that's just because it's Eddie Murphy talking :P

Jim Hill's defence of F&H2 is just to suck up to Eric Goldberg and his wife, I'll tell you that! He has never defended any of the better sequels, and now he's defending this all the way? Meh... Anyway, I see animated sequels as a continuation of a story I already loved. I only like the film if it st...

But let them have hope... It's not only in the animation sector you get treated like dirt. Every huge sector that employs a whole lot of people treats their people like dirt (ok, there are exceptions!). Companies like that don't know their people and therefore it makes it easier to sack them when ne...

Well, that didn't come out the way it should have... I meant that the movie used a more square and strict style overall look, different than other films from that time. I recently read a discussion about several styles of handdrawn animation and some people compare it with the animation used in "Hom...

And what is your source for that? Or do you have material to compare? Even if they did... It was also done in The Lion King 1 1/2, and that worked out great. I don't remember any critism on that decision back then! Anyway, not only the backgrounds stay true to the original, the animation looks quite...

The animation in the new "Disney Princess: Enchanted Tales" (not to be confused with the live action/animation blend "Enchanted") looks awful indeed, but only on the new Beauty and the Beast story (altough it's just characters being off-model, the animation itself looks alright). The new Sleeping Be...

@ Ben: Didn't I respond to that PM? I thought I did? My deadline was the end of November, as Animated Views was, but I didn't get it finished... I'm still working really hard on it and I hope to get it online around christmas/new year. It's a LOT of work, and every day I come up with new features :P...

The Fox and the Hound 2 was probably done by both the DisneyToon Studios in Australia and Toon City, Inc. . Most of the latest sequels (or midquels, whatever) were made by those 2 studios. They are probably using the same tactics as when there still was a Disney Animation studio in Japan. They used ...

If Peter Pan does make an appearance in Tinker Bell , I suspect he will be voiced by Blayne Weaver, who voiced Pan in Return to Neverland , The Lion King 1 1/2 and the television series House of Mouse . Remember "Lilo & Stitch 2 - Stitch has a glitch"? There Lilo was voiced by Dakota Fanning, and i...

Speaking of "off-model"... Nala is completely off-model in the scenes she is in in "The Lion King 1 1/2".
