Blahhh!!! I'd totally hate to be the one to decide wh get the oscar this year... so many great films and still so many to come. So far, my two faves are definately OTH and Cars (I could never decide which should win the oscar.... They're both SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOODDD!!!!). Remember, we still hav...

Is obtaining rights to a story considered part of 'development'? If so, that would also explain the extemely high costs.

Toy Story 2 was okay, but I still liked the first one better. I have no problem if the sequel is good. I guess it'd the friggin fairies and the Shrek stuff that really bugs me the most

You think animated movies aren't orignal? Take a look at all the live-action films out nowadays. Totally agree... I think I mentioned that above. I do have to admit that this summer's animated films have been refreshingly original so far. I LOVE both OTH and Cars! I was simply looking at the lineup...

Sequels and Unoriginality

Okay, I just have to get this off my chest. I HATE SEQUELS. Period. While not all sequels are bad, in general I think they are a cop out for studios to make a fast buck without putting too much work into a film. The execs think that all that matters is the profit, so instead of taking risks and atte...

Hmmm... Personally I love Elfman's work for Black Beauty. It's an extremely rare soundtrack and if you can find it for under $100, if you can find it at all, then your one luck person. It's a beautiful score.

I also enjoy Batman Returns, Planet of the Apes, and Good Will Hunting

Enjoyable, but not as good as the last one. I felt that the producer's focused too much on snazzy effects and less focus on characters. Some of the lines were really cheesey, too. But overall it was ok.

Deja-vu discussion. It ssems like no matter what animation forum you visit, this discussion pops up more than once. Well, as many of you were probably not a part of the ooolldd animatedmovies.com forum, I guess I'll kinda revisit my thoughts on the whole 2D vs 3D topic (ie, is 2D dead and 3D taking ...
