Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

That's Snoozer, the zoo watchdog. Dum Dum's appearance is similar .. but he's taller, stouter, and wears a scarf & feathered hat.

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Wally Gator is coming in June! One more classic show down! No details yet on what exactly is included, I expect it would include the Lippy the Lion & Hardy Har Har and Touche Turtle & Dum Dum shorts as well, but we'll see. Originally called The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series, it ran for 52 episod...

Re: Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?

Cool. 8) Looks like they have a bunch of Smurfs holiday specials (listed under "Movies" ), too..! I don't recall seeing most of those available on DVD, even via Warner Archive. I've just got some sort of 'mental block' that keeps me from subscribing to streaming services, though. Maybe I'll get over...

Re: Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?

I'm waiting for Wally Gator [/i], next week .. then I'll get all of those, and the new Popeye [/i] set. “And I would’ve gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those meddlin’ kids!” Hope they include the classic line. Lol. There was a programming block on the Boomerang TV channel awhil...

Re: DreamWorks Discussion

Yeah; 'barebones' was a poorly-chosen term. (I struck it from my previous post). What I meant was that these are not 2-disc Blu-ray/DVD sets, as most of the earlier DreamWorks movies had been. ---------------------------------------- And, I agree; the Universal cover art is hideous. :? As you...

Re: DreamWorks Discussion

As of today, it is finally possible to assemble a complete home video library of DreamWorks' theatrical features on Region-1 Blu-ray. :) While most of its newer titles have been available on BD since the format's debut (some of them even in multiple editions, over the years), many of the studio's ea...

Re: Disney Pixar's Onward

Well, in our world .. I've seen wolves, bears, wildcats, horses, and probably a few other animals painted on the sides of panel vans. Never any racoons (though such a van might exist, somewhere) .. but all of those other wild animals listed will als o root through an open trashcan, if given the chan...

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

Yeh, I figure it's probably just lack of a 4K-ready master being at hand.

btw .. the 4K UHD The Little Mermaid (and its accompanying 'standard'-HD Blu-ray) fixes the shot swap of Ariel & Flouder in the "Part of That World" scene. It's worth a 'double-dip' purchase for that alone, IMO. :)

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

I'd tried to make it very clear that I was mostly kidding about my LD side-changes 'dig' .. But, yes .. Laserdiscs did, indeed, rock, especially by comparison to VHS. But -- as this is a Cinderella Blu-ray discussion thread -- I'll just leave it there. --------------------------- on...

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

hallo, Dusterian ! :) re: the video comparison of "all releases" .. they left out the Laserdisc format, entirely! The 1995 'Masterpiece' CAV Laserdisc boxed set was perhaps the very nicest overall home video package of Cinderella , IMHO .. https://media.karousell.com/media/photos/products/2018/03/20...

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Wally Gator is coming in June! Yay! I, too, hope it's the half-hour show .. with the additional segments. Here's hoping a Quickdraw McGraw set is in the works, as well..! :) ---------------- I just got an email announcing WA pre-orders for Jonny Quest: The Complete Original Series on Blu-ray, and P...
