Re: The Lion King Remake

Yep, someone's asleep at the switch! There's another key scene leaked but I'm not bothering. Going back to the Mufasa clip, there's a different vid that shows a few seconds sooner. Wow. James Earl Jones literally sounds like he's phoning it in. He says "Scar... help me" in a such low, monotone way a...

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

Justin Bieber? ;)

While I'm not a fan of Styles music, from what I've seen of him in Dunkirk he's not too bad.

Re: The Simpsons

Here's the poster for the episode: https://i0.wp.com/metro.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/PRI_76032738.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&zoom=1&resize=540%2C809&ssl=1 Nice! :) Feels like almost all Treehouse posters are neat. Episodes are a different matter, though my biggest complaint is they just feel to...

Re: Disney's Aladdin (Live-Action)

The original WAS a TV pilot, Yes, as I said; "fancied up", meaning "dressed up", "tricked out"... though far from the first time something from TV was dressed up as something more, it was the first of its kind to be put out with all the fanfare that would ordinarily go to a feature. With that in mi...

Re: The Lion King Remake

His voice doesn't help matters much either. Doesn't have the same emotional punch of the original. Not convincing enough.

Re: Fire at tenchi and lucky star anime studio Kyoto Animation

I don't believe I've seen anything from them, even still I can't even begin to imagine what KyoAni fans must be feeling. The whole situation is a tragedy. Saddens me how one person could do something so cruel and horrific.

Re: Disney's Aladdin (Live-Action)

A sequel is in development . No real surprise there. What might be is this: Our sources say that the plot will follow closely to The Return of Jafar though, the straight-to-video follow-up to the animated flick released in 1994. No, no, no. If there's one positive thing about shot-for-shots possibly...

Evidently, Chinese people are upset that Mushu is NOT in the remake. Huh, who'd a thunk it? ;)

Re: The Lion King Remake

Someone leaked Mufasa's death on YouTube. Won't link to it, but it's out there! I went ahead and viewed it; it's BAD! Almost laughable. In the original we have Scar relishing the moment, whispering his lines in a sinister devilish way. Here, he's basically yelling the lines so everyone can hear and ...

Re: Toy Story 4

Parents slam Disney for selling toys of Forky. Funny, the last time I went to Target and Wal-Mart they each had their own "Make Your Own Forky" toys. Even though one could make their own for cheap, it just wouldn't be the same. At least for me it's all in the details.

Re: The Lion King Remake

Truth be told, I'm more excited for The Lion Guard to return. Scar alone is a feast for the eyes! :) Especially compared to this raggedy, wimpy watered-down version. Here's another lifted scene with a few dialogue changes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUkA3rB8NeA "A gift he'll never forget" -- ki...
