Re: Disney's Christopher Robin
"He said/she said" is the most perplexing aspect of these things, but an accusation is not a conviction. And exes do sometimes do ugly things to each other, even to the point of trying to ruin their reputation. I'm not saying if she is or isn't right. But in the matter of Chris Hardwicke, and invest...

Re: Disney's Christopher Robin
I actually think it does merit its own thread. I'd rather not "contaminate" our other discussions with this stuff, although that may just be me. I will say, however, that not all of these cases have merit, and the fact that these can potentially be used (however inappropriately) for character assass...

Re: Avengers and the MCU
It's meant to be a pun. Using "Thor" instead of the word "for."
Lame, I know, but this is the sort of stuff I live for.

In my defense, that thread is like five years old.

Re: YouTube Goodness
What's different about this one is that they literally just use Roddy and Verne, rather than create their own rip-off characters. I suspect that's why this one never came to the states, as they wanted to avoid DreamWorks pursuing a lawsuit (which, of course, several studios ended up doing anyway).

Re: Disney Making two 2-D Films? Return of 2-D Animation at disney?
There's no reason to assume these will be Disney-distributed. Especially since, from what he's said on his Facebook, Duncan didn't apparently have a great experience with the top brass at the studio while working on Poppins (not talking about Rob Marshall, of course, but people at the executive leve...

Re: Tim Burton's Dumbo
Dumbo flies within the first half hour or so (sorry if my wording was confusing). What I was saying was that I was fine with him doing so, rather than following the story of the original and saving his flight for the climax (as I said, the majority of the film more or less works as a "sequel" to Wal...

Tim Burton's Dumbo
We didn't appear to have a thread for this (even though we've been discussing it a lot elsewhere), but here we go... The film almost works. I'd even venture to say that it's pretty good. It's just a shame it's not still better than it is, because there's a lot that's good here. For starters, there's...

Re: Toy Story 4
Having seen the trailer before Dumbo yesterday, I think Woody's simply meant to be getting older? I mean if you look at the first Toy Story and even Toy Story 2, Hanks is a freaking firework , saying everything incredibly quickly, so it makes sense from a "passing of time" standpoint that he'd be "c...

Re: Addams Family CG Movie
I'm fully sold on the cast...except for Theron, for whatever reason, who didn't seem "comfortable" with voice work for at least some of Kubo.

Re: Disney's Christopher Robin
They're all more in line with how they are in A.A. Milne's original stories, though, so I was actually pretty fine with it. I even liked Garrett's "deeper" Eeyore more here than I did in 2011's Winnie the Pooh (dare I say it, Christopher Robin was actually a much better Pooh movie than that film).

Re: X-Men Movies Thread
It's probably been discussed in this thread by now, but could mutants be brought into the MCU at this point outside of maybe the big ones like Wolverine? I mean, the whole concept of the X-Men is "they're persecuted because they're different." something that would be hard to do in the MCU where thos...
