Some people said CL was modled after David Stainton. Was that true, Sull? :P I'm not Sullivan, but let's analyse... http://www.grapplefruits.com/assets/images/ChickenLittleSing.jpg http://www.cartoonbrew.com/archives/stainton.jpg And for the record, I feel that Chicken Little was pretty mediocre, p...

WALL-E

Laughing Place have got news of the title of Pixar's 2008 feature, which is to be called W.A.L. - E. Aside from that, there's no more news about it, but I think it would be fun to speculate what it could be about. From the title, it looks like it could be about Wales, a robot or whales. :P

http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2006/08/07/4775.aspx If you've read the front page, you'll already have noticed this, but for those who just come straight to the forum (if so, how dare you?! :x ), there's another article on the changes to the movie and a test screening. I've said this...

Whilst I haven't seen it all the way through, my memories of whant I saw of The Silence of the Lambs really want to make me have a panic attack. Anthony Hopkins' performance was one thing. The scene with the nail and the blood on the wall where that female victim was kept is something that will fore...

I remember that too! :D Cool! When exactly did you go on the trip? I'm just asking out of sheer curiosity. We went in the last week of October (in England, schools have a week long break around this point). I also remember watching the Hercules parade at Disney-MGM and having to hold up a little di...

I really hope that the animation studio in Florida reopens and re-recruits those who were made redundant, as they didn't deserve to lose their job. Plus, it's also pretty much dummed down the wholeI've heard both on the internet and from people that I personally know who recently visited the attract...

Cool - I may well hop across and catch that in September when we might do Disneyland Resort Paris for my birthday. Fixed. Euro Disney just sounds like the name of a Mickey themed campsite or a struggling Disney theme park resort circa 1993. ;) Even though I don't have that great a knowledge at the ...

Development

Does anyone here know exactly why the development bills for films are so expensive? I believe that Superman Returns had $60 million spent on its development. Is it due to the salaries of those developing the ideas?

Bear in mind that a lot of these people who are calling him "the new Walt Disney" may not be die-hard Disney/animation lovers like us. They'll probably think that since Pixar has made some wonderful animated films and Walt made some wonderful animated films, Lasseter is the reincarnation of Walt. I ...

I can imagine Over the Hedge, Cars and Flushed Away getting nominated. I would personally love it if Cars won the award. I haven't seen it yet (hasn't opened here yet), but I want it to win just because it'll mean that John Lasseter will win an award for his very own film (I know that he got a speci...

The Frog Princess: A New 2D film from Disney in the works.

This article is a few days old, but definetely worth mentioning in a thread of its own as it sheds light on an important animation production over at Disney:
