Spies in Disguise will allow audience members to earn rewards points, making it the first Fox release to be treated like a "Disney Movie."
It's just too bad that Disney will be treating the movie like a Fox release. :P

Re: Rocketeer follow-up with Female Rocketeer

Aww, thought they were abandoning it because Marvel Comics' "Ironheart" was already getting her own Disney+ series. (With Robert Downey Jr. repeating his role as the old Alan Arkin engineer.) And hate to say it, but I remember seeing the Rocketeer in the theater, and the little kids were bored silly...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

I recall there was a good several minutes where they were going through all the movies that would be available on Disney+ and noted to Rand that this was going to loaded based on the shown video alone. If he could do TCM's " 100 Years of Movies " in nine minutes and his "50 Years of Bugs ...

Re: YouTube Goodness

Sorry had to post it... ;) https://youtu.be/z2_dhUv_CrI I always wondered whether that was, as widely theorized, "supposed" to be a parody of those nightmarish Czech-animated Gene Dietch Tom & Jerry cartoons-- Or, the brief time in the late 80's that Russia tried syndicating some of their moralisti...

Re: Back to the Future

I love and will always admire Bob Z, but following his mocap misadventures he hasn’t had a smash in forever. And as one of the few people alive who thought "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" was more disturbing than funny, I've often wondered just how rational a director Bob Z really was without screenwrit...

Re: Dr. Doolittle

This is a Universal release (who own the rights through the barely connected Eddie Murphy movies)...nothing to do with Disney. Or Fox. Oh, I see, it's " From the Producer of ALICE IN WONDERLAND and MALEFICENT!" Heh, probably would have noticed that better on the big screen. Good work, Universal, fo...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

But...Betty wasn't IN the She-Hulk com--ohh, I get it:  This is the "Universal still owns He-Hulk outside of the Avengers" legal-loophole series, with Jenny just standing in for Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, and not the sassy full-time-green District Attorney Walters we know. ("Look all you want, NY, G...

Re: Dr. Doolittle

"From the studio that gave you the (overmarketed, CGI-heavy and Burton-centric) Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent!" No, from the studio that still owned rights to the Rex Harrison version, that just happened to be BOUGHT by the studio that gave you Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent... The s...

Re: Disney’s Jungle Cruise

One adaptation I would love is "It's a Small World". Sounds like it would have been fun, in Walt's day: https://jimhillmedia.com/editor_in_chief1/b/jim_hill/archive/2003/09/30/153.aspx (Yes, the article's from 2003. Which gives you some idea how long they've been working on something to go with the...

Re: Disney’s Jungle Cruise

Huh, fifteen years, and at least three or four project re-imaginings, since Country Bears/Pirates/Haunted Mansion, and they finally FINISHED it.

Looks like Tom Hanks & Tim Allen outgrew the roles, though.

Re: Disney Pixar's Onward

The whole half of dad aspect just seems a little too wacky... Okay, I must say it: Was anyone else thinking "Extremely Scary" from It: Chapter Two? I'm realistic and know it won't be a laugh a minute but I can also see there is gonna be a lot of heart. The director in the press interviews t...

Re: Charlie Brown Specials

The second broadcast will be followed by You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown. Well, nice to see it restored-- I've still got the Blu-ray release from '08(? - or was it '12?) when Warner thought they'd cash in on the election year by squeezing out their own "Elected" disc, and Pumpkin was paired with ...

Re: Readers moving away from superhero comics in america?

Well, there's a reason for that TOO-- Comics, like a lot of other uber-fan media (eg. games, horror, cartoons) have fallen into a fan "gentrification" that caters more and more to the isolated tastes of what the core fan thinks it "should" be about, and farther away from what actually sells or hooks...

Re: Moana 2 Is Coming!

This is strictly a rumor at the moment. No one is "officially" announcing this. It's a NZ site...I've learned to "Nothing to see here, move along" with UK, Spanish or New Zealand Internet-rumor sites, especially where Disney/comic-book is concerned. Although, Disney is right now--as in, not until r...

Re: Wowzers Inspector Gadget!

Another live-action take is in the offing. Goodie. And I bet will be a Disney+ exclusive... Most of them are, at this point. I'm guessing it's 90's nostalgia, and not the free property tie-in back when Disney owned ABC/Capital Cities/DiC and could get Gadget for free. And yes, the original m...
