Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

Oh, they didn't say "correct" restoration. They said "new" restoration. I just knew it would be getting a new one to be more correct.

I love Chris Pratt's character, he's so cute I love how he's into the dungeons and dragons type stuff, it seems, so he wants to make life like that. I loved the Pegacorn-raccoons! This looks s...

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

So The Lion King and The Little Mermaid had 4K restorations but not Cinderella and that's why we have no Cinderella (1950) 4K? I think the reason the comparison video doesn't have the laserdisc is because it's restoration was the same as the VHS's? But the DVD one was the same as the Blu-ray, so the...

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

Hello ShyViolet and Randall ! And Ben ! I will try to stick around but, alas, I am not interested in general animation. It usually has to be some fantasy story. But I do love very critically acclaimed animation, too! But it's really nice to see all of you again. LDs look like they rock! But I had th...

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

Hi Daniel!

In response to EricJ, even though Target gave Cinderella a book in it's 2012 release, this time it will actually have a different book. You have to look at the pictures.

Re: Cinderella: Platinum Edition Discussion

Hey...from your past...I have come back...because it's that time again...when Cinderella releases...for what will probably be the final time, thanks to Disney+. Cinderella will be released to digital June 18th and disc June 25th. It will come in a standard edition with a pretty cover of her running....

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

Oh. Ok. Well the original Snow Queen was a villain and the Faerie Tale Theatre one made her sort of help Kai.

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

Oh, I see EricJ , and I love the Shelly Duvall Faerie Tale Theatre one too! But what did you mean by pre-Renaissance? Pre-Disney-animation-Renaissance versions of Cinderella? I liked your review Dacy ! Sorry you felt that way about it, Ben . I think this film was almost a masterpiece! Just needed pe...

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

EricJ , I hardly know what you are talking about. Are you saying The Slipper & the Rose was so good you don't want to see this new Cinderella movie? Anyway, here's my spoiler filled review: I’ve seen this movie three times now and will give a very expansive, very spoiler-filled review. Avoid this w...

Re: Into the Woods

... combining all the characters and situations from various fairytales, mostly Grimm I believe. All are Grimm's except Jack and the Beanstalk which is British. Maybe this does give the Witch more reason towards the end, but I never really understood how her power was gone one moment, back the next...

Re: How Disney Restored Cinderella Very Wrongly (in 2005)

I just checked my BD and her hair streaks are still blue for that scene, in those very specific frames of that close-up, on mine. Bambi got a new restoration after it's first DVD release. And I think there were other things I read that indicated Disney is going to re-do restorations. Actually I beli...

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

Oh. Well, when you said in the Bambi: Diamond Edition review: Following the huge success of Snow White, he released Pinocchio in little more than two years afterward, and the immensely personal Fantasia soon after. Both films offered darker, or too-“highbrow” accounts of what audiences expected, and...
