No one really knows. I think American distributors are afraid, regardless of Ledger and Depp being attached, of putting out a Gilliam film because they haven't generally been big money makers in the country since 12 Monkeys.

Did I read that right? Did they actually put one of those no talent Jonas hacks in there? Yep. The young one. But like I said, I think he did fine. And I agree with Jafar that the film may not be among the best and is more of a kid's fare. It's still a great movie nonetheless and a pleasure to watch.

Ponyo

I had an opportunity to see Ponyo during Comic Con. Reading up on the internet, I found that the theater near the convention center was doing a free screening of the film on Day Two. The catch being that it was first come first serve. Fortunately, I was early enough that I was practically guaranteed...

I'm quite afraid of what Paramount may end up doing. Although having someone like Burger on board to write the screenplay might ease things a little. I just don't know by how much. If he directs, then expect a serious film much like his past credits.

A number of online media people were woken up this morning by FedEx folks, delivering them mysterious packages. Inside the packages contained a generic looking flashdrive and two coin tokens. http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/zz3d9284cb.jpg The media people immediately investigate what w...

Nowadays, whenever I think of Brian, I think of him as King Richard IV in the first Blackadder series. I bought the complete series earlier this year and have been utterly hooked. In terms of films he's directed, I've seen four. Hamlet is phenomenal. Frankenstein was not bad, but certainly cou...

I'm just interested in the fact that this is being directed by Kenneth Branagh. To bring aboard a Shakespearean-trained actor/director to a superhero project, giving him the biggest budget he has ever had since Hamlet, is the most unique casting to me. Branagh generally likes hooking up with theater...

Forgot to mention that the times of the panels are not set in stone. Heck, just now, a couple have already been moved about. A good example is on Thursday. The Drawn to Life panel with Glen Keane and Don Hahn got moved from noon to 3pm. Hall H on Thursday is the one that's on constant change watch g...

Will there be any more copies of Rocket Johnson on sale at the booth? I missed it the first time last year and would like to pick that up along with Torch Tiger.
