Just finished watching it. Great voice acting, as usual. Been loving Christopher Drake's music scores. Interesting which elements from the comic they took out (the Superman and Batman families getting involved, Metallo teasing his involvement in Thomas and Martha Wayne's death, etc.) and rewrote. Th...

Besides, Depp is already locked in on a three picture deal that includes Pirates 4 (the others being Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Lone Ranger"). I may not know the specifics of the contract, but I don't think the changing of the guard is enough reason for him to "jump ship" legally.

Just finished watching the DVD. Holy smokes that's the craziest series of adult-rated imagery imaginable for an animated feature. I'm just sitting there, watching with complete disbelief that Rob Zombie and Tom Papa came up with all of this. Like Peter Jackson's "Meet The Feebles" and the comic book...

Couldn't find it anywhere mentioned in the thread, but Disney is offering an upgrade coupon for those in the US and Canada who already own a copy of Snow White and are thinking of getting the Diamond Edition. It's connected to the Movie Rewards site, so first you gotta sign up if you haven't already...

How the MPAA rates movies has always been an issue of controversy. Think about The Hunchback of Notre Dame. That was clearly not a G-Rated film and yet the MPAA rated it as such. In regards to animation, they always think it's kiddie fare and thus never really give it a second thought to what the pr...

Well, the film's budget is $33 million. By the end of Sunday, the film made $15 million on his opening week domestically. It was number two in the box office. I'd say the film has a good chance at having a moderate box office success.

Mark Harmon as Superman. Wow. That's should be interesting. Great on NCIS, so it's going to be quite the listen of him voicing Supes.

In Summer 2010, Disney already has Toy Story 3, Prince of Persia, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The competition is putting out Iron Man 2, Shrek Forever After, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Last Airbender, and The Expendables. Seems reasonable to me for them to release Tron in December.

Pirates Of The Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides

Over the weekend was the first annual D23 Expo, Disney's official convention to showcase and promote their products, audiences at the September 11 press conference were treated to special guests like Tim Burton and Robert Zemeckis, a live performance by Miley Cyrus, and then a huge surprise in the f...

It's fun comparing the two, actually. LittleBigPlanet is a fun, joyous universe whereas 9 is a dark, post-apocalyptic wasteland. Both are filled with thralling adventures only with differing tones.

9

So my folks and I got to see the film "9" the other day. The film is an adaptation of writer/director Shane Acker's graduation short project from UCLA. Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov ("Wanted") saw the short and were so impressed that they supported him doing a feature length version that was dist...

A series of fun facts courtesy of Nikki Finke. Bob Iger's late-great-uncle was Jerry Iger, a known illustrator and cartoonist in his day. As a matter of fact, Blackthorne Publishing put out a number of compilation books of Jerry's work (The Iger Comics Kingdom, Jerry Iger's Classic Jumbo Comics, Jer...

How many Marvel Comics have you read? The iconic Marvel characters for the most part aren't mutants ==> Captain America, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Fantastic Four, and The Avengers (Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, The Vision, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Ant Man/Goliath/Yellow Jacket). I was bei...
