Re: Hal Prince, legendary Broadway producer/director, passes at 91

Below is the fifth episode of the documentary series PBS and BBC did called Broadway: The American Musical. Kind of broken up into parts itself, the episode features a nifty overview of the Prince/Sondheim partnership through West Side Story, Company, and Sweeney Todd. Part One at 7:30 - Notates how...

Re: Digital copy codes

I gave Ex Machina a shot, looks like someone beat me to the punch. Alrighty, let's have some fun here. Who wants a digital copy of Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book? Already have a copy so I got an extra one to give away. :) 6MGX96UGEB7 Redeem it the same way you would for Iron Man 3. Let us k...

Re: Criterion Collection

I'm guessing, from first glance, the packaging will be loosely similar to either the Bergman set or the Zatoichi set. It's probably moreso like Zatoichi as they fitted 25 films into 9 discs while the Bergman set had a large chunk of films with their own discs, 39 films over 30 discs. So the Godzilla...

Re: Disney's Aladdin (Live-Action)

So Guy Ritchie's Aladdin has quietly passed the $1 billion world-wide mark, making it presently the third of the Disney re-imaginings to do so as well as the second highest grossing live-action musical (after Beauty and the Beast).

Re: The Lion King Remake

I didn't think the film was bad. I thought it was good-ish. Having said that, it's like Beauty and the Beast where the "re-imagining" is obviously inferior to the original. The realism may have made the visuals look stunning, but boy did it hamper the ability to tell a narrative without facial expre...

Campaign 2, Episode 70 - The Mighty Nein deal with the consequences of what happened in the last episode. And be warned as the ad for Travis Willingham's Yee-Haw Game Ranch is not for the faint of the heart. Literally.

Re: Criterion Collection

In case you guys were interested, I did a skimming investigation and it appears that all of the special features that Criterion had released for the films they had previously released for the individual Bergman films on blu-ray do appear in the Bergman's Cinema set. At least based on the ones I prev...
