I'm very excited about this as well, and this would be a perfect Menken vehicel indeed!
A bit weird though that Disney is doing both Rapunzel and this story...

Hey Wolf Tooth,

First one was Aladdin, second is from an episode of Animaniacs.

Here's mine:
...I'll smash it with a hammer! It's brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, I tell you! Genius, I say!

Needless to say I would love to work at any of these studios, but if I have to choose... WDFA. Just the chance to work with so many of the people who created the classics that inspired me to aspire a career in animation would be enough to choose Disney. Glen Keane, Andreas Deja, Andy Gaskill, Chris ...

I have the storyboarding book and it was pretty okay, really (and I'm not exactly a Bluth fan, except for N.I.M.H. ofcourse). I might just give this book a shot as well, the price is very reasonable...

I wonder what their next movie is, though I would wager that it'll be Eisner that gets the brunt of their next villain's look! :)
That reminds me of Dave Pruiksma's little parabel story The Emperor's New Greed :D

Ha, that Musker and Clements, modelling villains on their old bosses, huh?

What a gas
Maybe Bob Iger will be the next "villain" :?
Well, here's a quick impression of what that would look like, with a hint of Hercules art direction ;)

That's the kind of remark I'd expect from Violet, not from you, Jane! :) Sorry, have to disagree with you, Hades wins by a longshot. Eris is just a bored and spoiled goddess, the whole thing with Sinbad is just entertainment for her, and it shows, she doesn't have her heart in it. Now Hades, he's go...

i think you're spot on there, Violet. It's the combination of the two (likeability and evilness) that makes him, and other great villians, so memorable. It's what you also see lacking in the villains of movies like Mulan. That Shan-Yu, geez, talk about a 2D character! I really like the character des...

James Woods' performance for Hercules was one of the best voice acting performances in the history of animation, and lifted the character up to par with timeless Disney Villains like Madame Medusa, Cruella DeVil and Captain Hook if you ask me!

Yeah Patrick, I went to see the first one (well... on DVD) cause I love the comic strip and I had this vain hope that the film would do it justice. Boy, was I wrong! To be honest, Jane, I really thought the first one was terrible... And the second will be worse (rule of thumb) as it will only be mad...

Mickey, you sure they DIDN'T release a soundtrack album for Cast Away? I am 100% positive. Cast Away: The Films of Robert Zemekis & The Music of Alan Silvestri is the closest thing to a soundtrack that was released. True, there was no commercial release, so no, there is no way of buying the track t...

Just so long as they think twice about WHY they'd make the story into an animated film. Just because a story is directed primarily towards children does not mean the best way to film it would be animation. Polar Express, anyone? These films can be very dangerous for the reputation of feature animati...
