Re: YouTube Goodness

God no matter how times I watch this I can’t stop being blown away by how flat-out stupefyingly amazing Henry Thomas was at his ET audition. Seriously...try watching it without wanting to cry!   https://youtu.be/tA5giyG8E7g I can definitely see why Spielberg hired him on the spot! lol.

Re: The Simpsons

Not to keep hammering on the “Simpsons isn’t as good as used to be!” button, (I did watch a little bit of some newer eps lately and was actually entertained), but this is a very, very thought provoking (and detailed) run-down by a gigantic fan who loves the classic era. It’s not a rant, and it’s not...

Re: Get Out Star Rebooting Barney in new movie!

Yeah, I remember that review; I read it from the Ebert movie yearbook. It was really cute and tongue-in-cheek at the same time. :)

Re: The Twilight Zone

Wow, another great idea Dan! I can definitely see that; very provocative questions. I think I saw the very beginning of that UPN sequel and was quite impressed that they not only got Bill Mumy (Anthony) back but also the actress who played his mom! :) It was amazing how both actors were just able to...

Re: Disney's Pinocchio (Live-Action)

I actually think that Hank Azaria might be interesting as Gepetto. I guess a lot of kids might still think of him as Gargamel, but he’s an incredibly versatile actor as we all know. (He also would have more of an authentic Italian look to him.). And he’s great in combining humor with gravitas. :) (H...

Re: Peter Rabbit 2 Trailer

Totally random/ridiculous: the only thing that interests me about that poster is that the carrots look really delicious ha ha. :o Sort of like this Indian/middle eastern food called “Batata”—actually sweet potatoes, but cooked differently than in the West: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batata Anyway...

Re: The Twilight Zone

Wow, that’s actually a really interesting idea Dan. :) Kind of like the Wizard of Oz (Well I guess except for the phrase: “There’s no place like home.”). I know some fans rate this ep as one of the more lackluster ones, but it’s one of my faves and has always left me in an emotional state whenever I...

Re: Disney's Pinocchio (Live-Action)

Actually this does kind of intrigue me...Zemeckis’ classic films like Roger and BTTF and even the “ghost train” segment of Amazing Stories all kind of had an iconic “fable”-type feeling to them. I just hope he can summon back some of his old magic and doesn’t turn this into the CGI-Uncanny Valley-Zo...

Re: The Twilight Zone

Always loved Talky Tina, and BOY did it scare me the first time around. BTW June Foray did the voice! She also ADR’d most of Sport’s lines in “The Bewitchin’ Pool” (the one with the brother and sister who find a magic land to live in by swimming to the bottom of their backyard pool). This wa...

Re: Back to the Future

WOW! :o Another amazing video from JoBlo; detailing all the obstacles and headaches the producers (and director of course) went through to just to make the first movie!! So many interesting facts I had absolutely NO IDEA were true, one of which was that attempts to get this film made go back all the...

Re: Disney’s Jungle Cruise

Yes, I totally agree. :(. I hate how our culture is becoming more and more fragmented. I mean I respect their opinion and all, but I also feel that that’s a really closed minded way to look at acting in general...the whole point is to embody someone that’s different from who you are. :( That’s the c...

Re: Lady and the Tramp (Live-Action)

Positives : Jockette’s sweater was really cute. I liked the animation of the cats purposely knocking over the vase. That’s it. Negatives : Everything about Lady’s voice Tramp’s voice was suitably street-smart but had none of the warmth/charm of his ‘55 predecessor. Uncanny Valley. “He’s a Tramp” wa...
