Batman Forever

I thought Batman Forever had some good qualities. They just weren't organized into a consistent story. I liked the very end when Two-Face flips the coin so he can decide what to do, and Batman throws in a whole bunch of other coins to mix him up, and that, like, drives him crazy. Plus I think that T...

animation

Tron is definitely NOT "best forgotten"! But it speaks volumes that, as a HUGE Bob Z fan and someone who likes Hanks as an actor, that I haven't caught Polar Express yet, even though it's been out a week here in the UK (the fact I've been unltra busy hasn't helped), but I don't feel the urge to run...

Roy and Stan

I'm not saying I totally support Eisner but wouldn't all the positive changes we saw this year (such as ABC picking up, etc...) take longer than a year to have had affect? Eisner was predicting that the turnaround would happen even before Roy and Stan started their spiel. I think it was perhaps part...

Stainton

hosting Wonderful World of Disney (which he totally didn't have to do) Yeah, I liked that he hosted WWoD when it had never occurred to any other president of the WDC since Walt himself that they could do such a thing. But why did he later have to allow his "Badness level" to go up? And my new nickn...

Camp

Maybe if that book about Eisner's memoirs from his camp days (he sent kids to the same one) ever comes out, we will learn more about his character. The book was supposed to deal with what it was like to be at this camp and how those experiences influenced him in running Disney. It didn't come out th...

Prince

"And speaking of the Batman soundtrack, does anyone know why in the world Prince had such a huge part in it? I think his songs are what has aged the film more than anything else." I think it had a lot to do with WB wanting to pre-sell the movie as a "Blockbuster" (the way they did with the Bat symbo...

Eisner

I have to admit that I share some of what Ben and Christian feel. I admire a lot of the things Eisner did in the past, even if he made some stupid movies later. Check out "Prince of the Magic Kingdom" by Joe Flower(1991). It may be kind of dated but there's a lot of things about Eisner that we tend ...

Batman

I saw Batman: Mask of the Phantasm a LONG time ago, but I remember really liking it. And I thought the animated series had great stories, especially Heart of Ice (the first Mr. Freeze one). And with Danny Elfman doing the music, how can you go wrong? Plus anyone remember the one with Clayface? How C...

Hmmmmm.... I dunno, but the more I hear and see of thise new Batman film the more convinced I am that it's being hyped to cover up some considerable script problems. This is completely different than the reaction I had to the trailer to the first Keaton movie (which in retrospect hasn't aged well)....

I finally got to see it!!!!!!!! :)

I thought it was a wonderful trailer, great blending of the 1977 material with the prequels. There was a real sense of continuity. HC looks MUCH more threatening with that longer hair/red eyes, and I loved the clips of the final fight with Obi-Wan.
