Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Wouldn’t it be hysterical if DVNR erased the hair in the gate from Magical Maestro? ;)

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Crazy that this even made the BBC Business News today...but that there is still zero promotion for this here!

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

A good start, chronological or otherwise. I quite like having the character shorts grouped, though, even if Droop will crossover some sections. This should easily go to three, probably four volumes, unless they up the count on future sets.

Re: Titanic

Although again, one could say that a book text is as sacrosanct as a true event. If it is well written and descriptive, there are again only so many ways it can be translated to the screen, just as there are only so many ways someone can remake King Kong, for instance. Certain movies, stories or boo...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Any video that marks the 1980/81 Superman II as 1978's Superman The Movie can’t be taken seriously anyway... ;)

How funny that both Rand and I picked up the DVD for this! I haven’t seen it for years!

Re: Titanic

I appreciate the comparisons, but come on...both films depict well documented real life events, and both films were about as well researched at their time of production as could be. To suggest Cameron took from a previous film is more than a little silly; not only would many people know the earlier ...

Re: Dr. Doolittle

Funny...if it hadn’t cost so much that $30m would have been praised as a strong start. At least it’s already made more than Cats!

Re: DISNEY BUYS 20TH CENTURY FOX

It’s all change again, as Disney officially drops Fox from the branding, which makes sense since Mirdoch kept the name for his networks. So the film company will now be 20th Century Studios going forward, and the indie/arthouse label will be Searchlight Pictures. While it’s Murdoch that should have ...

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Complete Droopy did get a DVD reissue, and it’s sales of that which probably pulled the trigger on this. Making a chronological collection does make more sense, since Droopy will be sprinkled throughout. Those that just wanted those toons on their own might not have come back to buy future non-Droop...

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog

Yeah, it would be a contractual thing, and most certainly his wish, or at least okayed by him, but it’s an odd choice seeing as he looks to be basically the lead in this, even if he is a "villain".

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Knew it! Excellent news...and to think that I just pulled out the LD to play a cartoon with the main feature for our movie night just now! Actually, it didn’t look too bad for a near thirty year old disc, but these will look and sound awesome, I’m sure. Hopefully these will be chronological issues t...
