Thanks, Whippet. I didn't even double-check to see if Bolt was actually on the voting list. Now I'm really confused about carl's rantings. And if Bolt doesn't make the "Best of the Decade" final list (and that wouldn't surprise me at all, really), don't blame the writers, blame the voters. Keep in m...

How does one know if they're crappy? None of them are out yet.

Dude, you should have said something, like, a few weeks ago. It was an honest error. Anyhow, you could do a write-in vote.

Well done! :)

That does so much to explain my attraction to Miss Piggy.

Interesting syntax. ;) But yes, we feel your anguish. It's time to let everyone know that James, who was handling that poll, is on temporary leave from active duty on the site, attending to some medical issues. He'll be back, but we can't say when that will be. In the meantime, we shall have to be p...

Let's keep in mind that Batman wasn't always so seious. He spent decades being a lighter character. Even those 1940s comics weren't always as serious as people claim. I mean, Robin debuted in 1941 already. That said, I like Nolan's films a lot. However, I'd love to see something in-between Nolan's t...

I don't consider Nolan necessarily faithful to the comics, but he does know how to tell a great, complex story.

And, of course, anything would have to be better than Batman and Robin.

Re: Movies of 2011

The announcement didn’t actually name Hathaway’s character as Catwoman Still, it sounds like this is the assumption. I can deal with her as Catwoman, no problem. I'm a little disappointed to hear that Bane is being featured, as I would hope for a more classic villain, but there's lots one could do ...

My pickings are getting sparser, too, after getting quite a few discs from them over the past couple of years. (Most recently The Love Bug:SE). I'm down to the Kurt Russell films at this point, but might hang in there to pick up the Frank & Ollie disc, which I never upgraded to from VHS. I've always...

Thanks for that info. I had been looking for more specifics on what was on that disc (but suspecting that a lot of it would be available online anyhow). I had decided it probably wouldn't be worth the added expense (though I did like the Mickey figure!). I likely made the right choice for myself, bu...

I thought this project died a while ago. Not sure if it's a good idea... in fact, it's likely not, but we'll see.

I would agree that the best of Hanna-Barbera has already come out on DVD. But we do all have our nostalgic favorites. And we all know that nostlagia can trump good taste. :)

I haven't picked up every Archive cartoon set, but do plan to get most of the H-B stuff.

Sure, but Spidey is meant to be younger. Even in the current comics, he's still in his 20s. No one wants to see a middle-aged Spidey! :)
