I just don't understand where all of these people who supposedly love Joey so much are on Thursday nights. Suppose there's someone out there who thought Phantom of the Opera was the greatest film of all time. If it were nominated, that person could vote as many times as he or she wanted, thus possi...

Can't say I'm vesred enough in manga/anime in general to have even seen Street Fighter, let alone be upset with the way Street Fighter TWO was handled on video!

Well, I am neither for or against Davis and the Garfield strip, but do have to point out that a movie version has been on the cards for absolutely AGES, so it's not really a case of cashing any chips in at the last minute. The movie has been at various studios, and set up with various people over at...

I remember seeing an advert for Tokyo Godfathers in the Triplets Of Belleville DVD and had to do a check. It actually came out through Sony on Columbia/TriStar Video. I don't know about their anime editions, but do know that Sony usually do a good job of releasing Japanese product (due to their pare...

The first part of your post was too much for my brain Mr SP - ouch! But I kinda see what you mean. However, a flaw in your plan... I went to see Shrek 2 and The Incredibles (as did many other people). But I also saw The World Of Tomorrow, I Robot and many more films this year. Though the box office ...

Yeah, but Hobbit is a prequel, taking place before LOTR! Therefore, ROTK would still have multiple endings (there are only three, by the way, and totally justified in my book). Too many films reach a happy conclusion and then just walk off without proper closure. The Hobbit is referred to as "There ...

Yeah, I was talking about the Us sets. I only buy NTSC stuff.

They came out in November and late December, respectively - that's why I said "RECENT" ;)

The Chronicles disc looks interesting, but definitely going for the shorts. :)

This looks like a very cool release, if only to finally catch The Tortoise And The Hare! Yes, some of the shorts seemingly made those el cheapo discs, but they were not restored in anyway, and certainly won't look as good as the ones presented here, even if the images on the new disc are not top not...

I think I'd probably go with that too. But the first film WAS pretty good too! :)

Also, and more for our UK readers, Disney has been running a "two-for-one" offer in most stores, with all titles including recent releases, in the deal.

Yeah, but even I would be tempted by TAS. I wouldn't call myself a Trekker, but loved TOS and TMPs up until (and not including) Insurrection. But I'll buy whatever 20-disc set they put out of all the films once they get those last two remaining SEs out there, and am going to get TOS season sets when...

You need to get the DVD!

Just checked, as I had a hunch and wa right, that the Pleasantville DVD has an ISOLATED MUSIC SCORE with Randy Newman commentary between cues!

Much better than the soundtrack CD!! :)

I agree with George here wholeheartedly, and also as someone who has seen a submitted idea end up on the screen with no reward or credit. At the time, I did not have the money nor the resources to go after "the big boys", and often it isn't until much later that cases are able to be brought up. If s...
