The same can be said about Disney, Dreamworks, Aardman.. don't their movies sort of all look and feel the same? big deal Actually, I've only seen one Aardman film, Chicken Run, so I can't judge them right now. But as for Disney--IMO the great thing about them (in their classic and modern heyday) wa...

) Gene Wilder was a better Willy Wonka than Johnny Depp. Depp's Willy Wonka gives off a creepy pedophilish vibe and it's real obvious he based his characterization off of Michael Jackson. I wouldn't trust his Wonka with kids. Wilder's Wonka, on the other hand, has a puckish charm and double entendr...

the Fly
They are releasing the Fly (1986) WIDESCREEN with plenty of deleted scenes (like Jeff Goldblum beating a half-cat half-monkey creature to death with a broom after a failed experiment with the telepods) as well as more scenes of him mutating which were cut out the first time. I can't wait. *if you lo...

I just got the Sopranos Season 1 as well as The Simpsons: Season 5. They both cost a bundle, (I did put some thought in the puchase) and so do the newest DVDs that just come out. It's better to wait till the prices go down (they always do) although I don't know if that applies to TV boxed sets. I tr...

Ben has it on the nose. Jackson always l;oved that when you read the books, you forgot that they were small people, (note: dwarfism is where body parts are stunted, they arent porpotionated) and that youn only realised they were small when u saw them in comparison to other characters or objects Wel...

Even though my eyes hurt after seeing the Garfield trailer (didn't even bother to see that) I'm kind of intrigued by this, although it's another example of my 80's childhood being shilled away (Transformers anyone?) Plus, didn't they already do a broadway show of this with Jeff Goldblum as Gargamel?...

Yeah, and one thing I really like (although not everyone does) is the 70's/80's tv/cartoon/commercial references which are just so funny....like, Peter beats up that animated Hunka Cheese guy from the Saturday Morning public service ads telling you to eat right....I hadn't even THOUGHT of that for y...

They really dissed Gene Wilder on that HBO special. The man who played Grandpa Joe was like: "Johnny is, for my money, the only man who could play Wonka," and even Dahl's widow said that if Dahl was alive to see the film, he would have said: "Now THIS is what I intended." It's still so weird to thin...

Maybe he was distracted by that whole shareholder suit thing. 8) I also think the site could be better, especially the DW Animation site which bascially has nothing, just a list of the films, jobs, policies, that's pretty much it. I hate to say it but they could learn from the Disney.com site...

Don't forget The NeverEnding Story III (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110647/) and the 2001 television series Tales From the Neverending Story (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0271308/). To be honest, I probably shouldn't have brought either of those projects to your attention. Case in point: The NeverE...

The NeverEnding Story
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie. It's a classic piece of 80's nostalgia and a great story to boot! When will they finally put it on DVD, with widescreen and features? It's on DVD now but pan-and-scan of course, the quality is absolutely TERRIBLE, and of course no extras. The sequal was terrible, (eigh...
