Re: YouTube Goodness

Kung-Fu Panda Honest Trailer. A bit mediocre, but some good jokes. :)

Lol, I didn’t see Lorax, but I totally agree on the Mike Meyers version! :)

Re: YouTube Goodness

Wizard of Oz (1939). A fun one. :)

They don’t use the original theme though, but I guess it’s to stress that “modern” feel.

Re: The Simpsons

The Simpsons was a great show for a long time, and I’m really happy for fans that it was renewed. I doubt I’ll be watching again, though. I have no problem with casting authentic ethnic/racial groups for characters of that group, but to “kick out” seasoned VO experts who’ve been voicing some of thes...

Re: Six Dr suess Books Banned!

I REALLY hope they don’t stop publishing Horton Hatches the Egg!! How can anyone dislike that book? In my opinion the pro-adoption message, the notion that love is love no matter who you are or what you look like, is as timeless as it is beautifully rendered. I’d really be sad if someone wants...

Re: Live action Tom and Jerry Movie

Sounds kinda like the ‘92 film...although IIRC both Tom and Jerry had a relatively active role in saving the little girl who got kidnapped by the villain. (Funny how Oliver and Company, the Rescuers and All Dogs Go to Heaven all pretty much had that same plot. :P Lol.)

Re: YouTube Goodness

Glad you liked it! :) Here’s the Raiders one. Not quite as good in my opinion, but still pretty neat. (It has more of an “adventure” tone, not really mystical. That’s the only thing I might change, and maybe a little more momentum.) https://youtu.be/j_48dkGB90Q Oh, for some reason, it reminds me a l...

Re: YouTube Goodness

Really cool modern trailer of A New Hope (trust me, it's good).

Re: The Simpsons

Sorry, but... Phil LaMarr is a black dude. He also did the John Stewart Green Lantern on Justice League . And Static on Static Shock . Oh OK, didn’t know that about LaMarr. That’s pretty cool, he certainly did a great job as Hermes. Still, totally agree that it’s the performance that counts the most.

Re: The Twilight Zone

“Saw it comin’!” -Bender on “The Scary Door.” :P I never really got a chance to properly watch these, but I certainly wasn’t encouraged by all those negative comments from pretty much all over the internet. The one I kept seeing was “heavy handed”. Which very much put me off. Rod may have had a few ...

Re: The John Lasseter saga

It was aimed at adults, but there were many things kids could enjoy (ie: the funny wasp couple, even if they didn’t know what “WASPs” were). That’s the way of quite a few live-action adult-aimed films. That’s like saying humor in every live-action film is of the “adult sitcom” and “wisecracking” typ...
