Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Little Miss Sunshine for the win. It got Kane’d in one of the misfire years, that one. The Departed was shite, and its changes made no sense. Go watch the original Infernal Affairs instead, and then see the full trilogy to marvel at the intricacies of a twisty-turny, complexly interconnected story, ...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

I love how Little Miss Sunshine is now a "Disney" movie. If ever there was a film that ostensibly looked like it might be typically Disney family fare, and then turned all those expectations on their head, especially by its end ( ) then its this one. A rare film that I genuinely never wanted...

Re: Garbage pail kids return on HBO max!

After my sister was a Cabbage Patch fan, I have always had a morbid curiosity to see the Garbage Pail Movie, though it’s apparently quite gross and crass. That’s not unexpected, but I’ve never got around to it.

Re: Disney’s Jungle Cruise

Loving the return to Drew Struzan-style painted art reminiscent of the early 80s Indy Jones posters (themselves revivals of 60s and 70s "collage" onesheets). It’s a little "cleaner" than Struzan's slightly rougher, truly hand-crafted work, but it’s clearly the intention to evoke that style, and it’s...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

It’s always fascinating to me that the ones that can sometimes feel like pulling teeth turn out to be the ones I can often watch more like an audience member, and enjoy more...! But it’s less fun when something that was a blast to work on, and make good relationships from, turns out to disappointing...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

I love hearing about what Eric thinks he knows. If you only knew how long it takes and how many parts have to be in place to even get a film rolling — let alone get anywhere near production — and then fall apart sometimes weeks before or days into shooting... Or even, in a case on a movie shooting c...

You would be amazed at the movies studios go through with, or even "stubbornly" insisted on releasing in '20 pandemic theaters, because they "whoops!" HAD to.
Explain.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

Thanks Danny-boy! :)

Kinda glad that Cruella poster isn’t better or I’d have been in danger of using points up there!

Need to check if I have the Villains book, but I’d be very tempted, though I don’t know if James would appreciate me sending yet another book his way...! ;)

Re: Avengers and the MCU

Again...this is world, or more appropriately universe, building. Guardians Of The Galaxy had two totally unconnected full films before they ended up colliding with the Avengers. The Eternals might not be named referenced for several films (and series) before they come crashing back into Phase 4 (or ...

Re: Demon Slayer The Movie Hit At Overseas Box Office!

I posted similar a couple of pages back, and although I’ll never likely see it, I love that same commitment and passion, being pleased that gaastra is thrilled, and knowing that when I check in there’ll inevitably be a new Demon Slayer update! :)

I think you must mean the original? MOE was a sequel to everything, and very good it was too.

Hi Geffrey! While we do have many industry eyeballs that look at Animated Views, only a very few of us actually post here, so please don’t get your hopes up that you’ll be barraged by a number of responses to your question, as most people here are a (smaller and smaller number of) admirers and fans....
