BTW is it just me or does the plot of SharkTale REALLLLLLLY resemble Aladdin?? 1.) "Can't be someone you're not" idea. 2.) I want to be a "somebody" and live "up there." 3.) Guy pretends to be someone he's not so he can get a pretty/rich girl. They may as well have called the film: "Prince Ali"

(unlike what the studio originally envisioned, with the John Candy turkey and all that.) I think part of the weakness...

I think she's leading up to the point that 99.99% of movies would simply not happen if they were based in any kind of real world. It doesn't have to be a "real" world but it has to have some kind of structure. Like in Lion King even though yes, lions don't have kingdoms (although they do have famil...

So...was this cancled for good??

I heard it was because they had story problems. Too bad, it seemed like a really cute idea.

Well nothing really....  It's just that the stories were LAME. (there was no point to them so they pandered to the male audience instead of having a story.) Dean Cain was such a good actor, way better than TH. So how did SHE wind up a star and not him?? When they started to go into that...

There's a real crackdown going down on black market/dupes and I'd imagine someday the authorities will go after consumers buying counterfeits, too. Illegal downloads as well. I think she was referring to the first videos of Disney's animated films that came out in the late 80s and early 90s. Is it ...

Right, but, it was based on a TV show. So you already knew what it was going to be like and everything. Ditto with South Park, the whole point of it IS the ridiculousness, which is similar to Spongebob. Movies like Cars, on the other hand, ask you to take them somewhat seriously. At least I think so.

I think there should be another South Park movie! :) Didn't many of those same critics love Shrek 2, though? Yeah but that's the exception...the whole trend is to bash everything DW does that's not Shrek or to say in the bad reviews: "DW hasn't done anything good since Shrek," or "This is a far cry ...
