New pic from "Cars": http://www.moviesonline.ca/movie_gallery.php?id=7387 (link found on Luxo blog). I knew that racing sequence from first teaser was early "work in progress" - looked weak and for me spoiled overall impression of quite nice (especialy from rendering and animation point of view) tre...

Yep. It's quite nice - I like it too, but there is something strange (not polished enough) to the right side of the veil - the transition between those tiny waves/ripples and bigger/thicker ones isn't totally convincing (to me). That is just small detail... but my expectations here are biger than av...

One doesn't preclude the other - there are wild animals and those more domesticated, both groups may have their own goals. I think that teaser and trailer may just show two different sides of the same coin. I still belive that "buddy movie" formula isn't completly exploited and still has much to off...

yep... here the same... I don't understand why the hell Zemeckis is sooo sticked with that unexpressive "performance capture" for CG features. That mocaped animation lacks strong accents and flexibility (but it's not as stiff as in PE - especially facial animation), eyes are dead, hairs heavy and ri...

I've just seen Chicken Little and I have to admit that it was very entertaining, cute, nicely executed movie :) One of the best animated features this year. I liked it much more than Robots, Madagascar, much much more than Valiant and 2004 Sharktale. It was quite tasty mix of Disney formula with Dre...

I don't think Pixar's requests are unreasonable - what would be unreasonable is if they got it. Jobs is no idiot - he knows that in dealing with a power house like Disney you're not going to get everything you ask for - especially when the Mouse is in the driver's seat. By aiming high he knows he's...

Production design (characters, environments, colors) looks really appealing to me (regarding teaser trailer) :) Yes - there is new trailer online but at this moment most of animation fans around the world are not able to watch it because it's watchable only in USA and only for windows users... :( He...

On that note - Anyone think TI would've beat out FN if it had a Summer opening by itself? I do. hmmm... I think it would be hard to beat FN revenues beacause Nemo had much wider audience. For youngest kids Nemo is more appealing and easier to understand. In The Incredibles there are many moments to...

I'm sorry but Toy Story is PREDICTABLE, Bug's Life is PREDICTABLE, Finding Nemo is REALLY PREDICTABLE, and ditto Monsters Inc. I don't find them original at all. I enjoy them, but on an intellectual basis....not much there but fluff. Can you see John Lassetter making Shrek II or The Prince of Egypt...

(...) and newcomer Brad Bird's film (even though it did VERY well) grossed the least. What's your source of information ??? Brad Bird's movie was actually second most profitable feature in pixar's history (just behind Finding Nemo which was writen and directed by Andrew Stanton; John L. was executi...

IMO there is a lot of artificiality to Pixar films that for some reason or other critics will just not acknowledge. Well... yes, there are many artficial elements: talking toys, animals, monsters from the closet, comicbook alike superpowers, all those things artificially made using so called comput...

I'm curious what was the criterion for making those pairs... and what is the reason of absence of such titles as: Ratatouille, Rapunzel Unbraided, KungFu Panda ? My "must watch" list for sure contains: Cars American Dog Meet The Robinsons Open Season Flushed Away ...but I'll propably watch most of t...
