I've been thinking this for years. I agree 100%. Animated films can be comedy, romance, drama, horror, war etc. "Cartoon" is not a genre. It's like calling live-action films "Real People Movies".

Yeah, but you deliberately made it tough requiring VFX and Animated to be the qualifying tie-breakers, and those were the two most frustratingly 50-50 categories this year besides Best Picture. I disagree. Animation and Best Picture are the easiest categories to guess. Especially after the Annie's ...
