Re: Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Live-Action)

Speaking of JK, I love the story of him hating beards—since both of the male leads in El Dorado (one of them voiced by Kline, funnily enough) ended up having facial hair. Sinbad did too. He didn’t early on in the film’s production and from the few bits of artwork I saw looked more like Proteus! JK ...

Re: Disney's Frozen

But we've moved from the John Lasseter era, of building good emotional Pixar-like stories out of sentimentality to Disney's classic reputation, to the Jennifer Lee era, which is horse-blindered by the idea of creating "Independent ethnic role-model heroines", who would never dare be called "princes...

Re: Jurassic World

A bug. There were lots of them. No, no: It's THE bug, from the Famous Iconic Scene early on in the first movie. Otherwise, what's the point? The bug from the “que lindo eres” scene in the cave early on wasn’t supposed to be “the one that started it all.” The excavator Juanito was only excited becau...

Re: Batman: The Animated Series

Like most B:TAS fans, I absolutely loved Conroy’s deliveries/acting, (basically grew up with him and Keaton as “my” Batmans), but boy, was he awful in The Killing Joke! I don’t think it was all his fault though…maybe the voice direction just wasn’t very good. But yeah, maybe it is time to retire him...

Re: Disney's Frozen

I agree completely Ben! I tried so hard to enjoy that film (saw it in theaters) but got almost nothing out of it with the exception of the beautiful nature sequences. I mean, this movie has ABSOLUTELY NO STORY! Every time it looks like something will happen, either another musical number pops up (al...

Re: Wonderful World of Disney host?

This is cool! 8) :) https://youtu.be/HX3snR5xaKs (Thought I’d bump this thread for the heck of it!) It would be really cool if they had a host nowadays too. But the other great thing about classic WWOD, whether with Walt or Eisner, was the shared media experience of everyone watching at the same tim...

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

Wow that actually looks really cool. :).

De Lancie is a gift. Can’t believe how well he plays Q after all these years. (Maybe even better than Stewart’s reprisal of Picard.)
