Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

Why not just spin Warners off to somewhere else completely, then? Outside of Looney Tunes and DC, what is there? Potter? Okay, but that’s currently tarnished. Matrix? Ditto. Lethal Weapon? Gibson's back in moviejail, or at least only on day release. Everything else is pretty much shared with Roadsho...

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!

This is a bit nuts, though, as I know I have been running a lot of these even recently and they’ve been fine…?

Re: Coco 2

Oh, darn!

The first was a perfectly contained one-off and didn’t need any continuation. Make a similar but new movie! The success of Inside Out 2 has a lot to answer for… ;)

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

As seen on the front page, could Coyote Vs Acme: A Looney Tunes Movie be next? https://deadline.com/2025/03/coyote-vs-acme-movie-deal-sale-warner-bros-ketchup-1236329381 Yeah, I know that’s not the title. But look for Ketchup to add it as branding should they be lucky for us enough to push this thro...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe

At this point it’s all a clusterfudge and I’m kind of beyond caring. No Way Home was such a nice ending/reset to the MCU that I’m good with everything from Hulk to that film as one long storyline at this point. Still haven’t seen all of the last ten or so films and series, and really don’t feel like...

All good news. At least the word of mouth is being recognised!

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

Xactly. At least the front is a poster, but hopefully the back is just a temp holder…hopefully… (it’s not, is it?). We're getting a disc, though. That’s the main thing.

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

May 27: https://www.amazon.com/The-Day-the-Earth-Blew-Up-A-Looney-Tunes-Movie-Blu-ray/dp/B0DYJR7KK1 Looks like it may get a slip, but outside of using a poster for the sleeve, that’s pretty basically lousy cover art. At least it’s not got picked up for streaming and no disc release at all. I’ll like...

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

They’ve obviously taken note that this hasn’t tanked completely based on the non-existent release, which is both good news and almost doubly frustrating! At least it did get a legit theatrical release, if limited/reduced.

Fun fact: the chip on Dinklage's shoulder is actually longer than he is tall.

Re: Pooh & Bambi books going Public Domain Next year!

Kinda wished this one didn’t work either! ;) Wow, what an inane song! Obviously the characters are in the PD, but this is so close to Disney as to be a blatant rip-off. I must admit the fur rendering is pretty nice and toy-like, but that’s not going to help them in having casual viewers not think th...

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!

$1m is actually excellent given the total lack of care for this release and Ketchup doing the best they can. Much bigger films with bigger campaigns have made much less. It's not "good", no, but at least it didn’t just do ten thousand dollars or something, which has been known on similarly marketed ...
