It does seem to be a little Disney/Pixar heavy. I don't mind the supporting characters. Some of them are the best things about their perspective movies. As for age, if I had to compile some of my favorites it would also include a lot of characters from the past 20 years if only because of my age. I'...

These photo shoots must have been a lot of fun for the actors. I wish I could've been there.

What's strange so far is that she is by far the most famous actor attached to this project and her role is of the love interest. My guess is that she only has a one-film contract. I wonder if she is attached to the sequels (if any).

I LOVE the game show. I would watch it whenever I could when I was younger. It got me hooked on the PC game (very cool at the time) and generally sparked my love for geography. Thanks Eddie!

I got a hilarious spoof trailer for this movie yesterday which pretty much sums up how I feel about Emmerich's films. I enjoy them, but I watch them for the disaster shots:

I think in both cases, these are films parents do not mind seeing with their children, which could drive up ticket sales. I know of several parents who took their child to T2:ROTF and to Indiana Jones last year. They don't mind the movie as much and it usually keeps kids entertained.

As bad as these Roland Emmerich can be (10000 BC and The Day After Tomorrow were laughable movies), there is always an element of fun to these films. I just wish he could evoke more Independence Day and Stargate and less of his most recent films.

This looks and sounds like a great Tim Burton film. I have always admired his visual style so I'm sure I'll enjoy this film.

Dusterian, I never said I could not differentiate between Disney and non-Disney. However, I already know who produced the film before watching it so it's hard to say what the result would be if we didn't know and had to guess. I've been watching Disney films my whole life and am amply familiar with ...

I rewatched the first film yesterday and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I thoroughly enjoyed it the first time around and it was a lot of fun in the second viewing. Bottom line is that these are just fun movies. I didn't have any major problems with the first one.

yeah, I have to say this makes me a little bit more excited for the film. The character designs look great. That's one step. Now, we just have to wait and see about the story.

I like the show, but I would still love it if Paramount released SOMETHING for collectors. I think it could do well.

In response to the original post, there's no ONE difference between Disney films and non-Disney films. In fact, I can't think of any characteristic that defines all Disney films. I, for one, do not think there is any great aesthetic difference between studios any more than there are between films fr...
