The intention was to make a movie that family audiences would respond to, and do it in a way that lays the technical and artistic groundwork for the future of WDFA. Chicken Little had some funny stuff and was very, very cute. There was a definete sweetness to it, especially the stuff between CL and...

Even though I loved the Christmas short I just want to edit and say that Rico wasn't played by JK this time but some guy named John Dimaggio.

Oh well.....*sighs*

Acctually if you watch quick they are using penguins, they look abit meaner though and abit too realistic if you ask me

The number on Lightning McQueen's car is 95. Knowing Pixar's penchant for inside jokes I doubt it's coincidence that '95 just happens to be the breakout year for Pixar when their very first feature film, Toy Story, was released!
In the newest trailer, the "95" is the first thing you see.

I know this thread is really old but....Phantom has been on HBO A LOT. I've only seen parts but...it looks really stupid, and seems very boring. Everything feels totally fake. I think it's kind interesting to look back at this with that whole Schumaker discussion in the other thread. Also, it...

As of now, I really don't think Chicken Little has a shot. Madagascar is....a left-field option. :( DW might win it since they haven't won in four years. Corpse Bride is too weird...Valiant's not gonna get a nom...I think it's between Howl's Moving Castle and Wallace and Gromit, both kind of "foreig...

That's funny...I actually thought it might be Anna Paquin--you know, Rogue from X-Men.

I have to say that there were some strange choices that jumped out at me this second time around.
Like what?

Did that, was just about to write about it here. The newest trailer....LOOKS very cool and I LOVE those cars (just want to dive in and play with them!) but other than that the film seems derivative and tired. The story has no humans, it's an all-car world where one racing car learns that raci...

Ian McKellen is a great actor. Not saying he isn't, but there are a lot of other great villains in the X-Universe. After two films, isn't enough enough? There are plenty of themes in X-Men other than "Humanity will never accept us/we must be superior/Charles my old friend/" Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah...

I agree with everyone here. Other than films like Spirited Away, Akira, Roujin Z and a couple of other things, I really dislike Anime. (as I've said before.) To each his own....to me, however, all Anime looks pretty much the same. I'm not saying it's all bad, but the vast majority of what I've seen ...

I never meant that Schumacher is a master filmmaker. I was just trying to reflect on why the director would say that Batman & Robin isn't the film he wanted to make, before taking full responsibility for it.
Right, I realize that's what you meant.

Yeah, but I don't think they mention any of that stuff in Trailer 1 or 2. Trailer 1 (the teaser) was the Owen Wilson race car and the redneck truck playing off each other, then a few quick shots of racing cars... Trailer 2 was a pickup truck apparently high on gasoline and another car playing off ea...

Maybe Schumacher is taking "full responsibility" for Batman & Robin's misguided direction because he went along with whatever mistaken instructions the studio gave to him. IMO it's mostly his fault. Whether or not they gave him "suggestions", he went ahead and made the film. And it's not like he wa...
