Re: Scooby-Doo! Theatrical animated movie just announced
Not only that, but apparently this could be part of a "Hanna-Barbara Cinematic Universe", with CG-animated movies based on Scooby-Doo, Flintsones, Jetsons and Tom & Jerry all being a part of that universe.

.......so how do you explain CARS 3 then?James wrote:Favorite quote from D23 so far: John Lasseter said, "We only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original. That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money."

Re: Fantastic Four
Yeah, this was a mess of a movie. Real shame; it started out decently, with some good chemistry between the actors and some interesting character moments. But oh man, the moment they get their powers this whole movie just goes down the drain and its a non-stop slog of sloppy visual effects, terrible...

Re: Fantastic Four
Oh, and one other thing; of course the cast hasn't seen the movie yet, the film doesn't have its premiere until Tuesday. Sometimes cast members see the movie earlier than that, but typically the premiere is when most audiences see the motion picture.

Re: Fantastic Four
To be fair, the review embargo ends on Wednesday night, which is only 12 hours later than the review embargo for Jurassic World, which ended up getting solid reviews. I do love the cast and director of this film, so I'm holding out hope, even if that comment about summer blockbusters not ever gettin...

Re: BOO
Yeah, I'm with Ben on wondering if its 110% finished as a movie, maybe they're just referring to him being finished with the project due to it being shelved. The film did get shelved pretty late in the game though (I think like only seven months until its release) so there probably was a LOT of the ...

Re: 3 billion dollar overhaul of Disney's Hollywood Studios
I'd be interested to see what Pixar movies get new rides here in this new version of Hollywood Studios. I'd imagine Inside Out, with its huge box office and enormously positive reception will get one, maybe Up and The Incredibles also get their own rides?

Re: Inside Out
Thanks to the magic of Fathom events, I saw an advanced screening of this tonight.
Prepare yourselves guys!
This is easily one of Pixar's best.
It's freaking amazing. What an incredibly thoughtful and well-written motion-picture!

Re: The Good Dinosaur
Yeah, John Lithgow was the dad, and as late as last August, he was talking about how he was re-recording his lines for the movie not that it had been restructured. Couple of other big names for the movie seemed to have had their characters completely ditched; Neil Patrick Harris, Judy Greer and Bill...

Re: Zootopia
Hard for me to pass any judgement on this one yet, only because none of this footage is obviously in the movie. As a teaser, this one isn't as memorable or funny as the ones for Frozen and Big Hero 6, but I am still interested to see more from it.
