Okay, I was going to let this issue die, but couldn't resist pointing out this inaccuracy from ShyViolet: And BOTH modern Disney films and DW films have taken on deeper issues such as fratricide (Lion King), racism (Pocahontas), faith, human suffering (Prince of Egypt), predjudice and repressed sexu...

I've been away from this site for a while (been really busy) so I've been missing out on discussion of my favorite topic: Star Wars. Being a huge, huge fan (no, I never have and never will, dress up as Chewie or go to a 12:00 am viewing.. guess I'm just too old for that now! ) I generally agre...

The movies do great with characterization and voice acting, have great visuals, keep up a fast pace, etc. and people tend to confuse all that with uniqueness of story but the core of the stories are the same, even more so than with Disney films. .. even more so than with Disney ??? Holy smo...

What I take issue with is that you all are grossly over-simplifying what these movies were about. I noticed that your "themes" were only part of what the movie was about. Most of these movies had more to their "theme" than the one line synopsis you give them; that is to say, it is only an element in...

"Someone's lost" was not the theme, thus no formula. The movies are all about rescuing somebody. I have no resentment. I've seen the Incredibles probably about fifteen times and all of the other Pixar movies at least twice if not more and I don't watch a movie more than once if I didn't like it the...

I'd say who I voted for but....it's kind of redundant. My second choice: WDFA. BTW, I WOULDN'T want to work at Pixar. I love what they do, I own three of their films on DVD, I LOVE their films. They are great movies. But by and large, they stick to a formula...personally I'd rather work some...

I've always thought that Chicken Little looked pretty good to me. I think the story idea is very, very funny and I really look forward to seeing this one. Oh, and Zach Braff doing the voice is a major, major PLUS! This guy is hillarious (see Scrubs on NBC). I'm confident it will do very well.

Hey, while I agree, all the added stuff was not needed, it is his film, his story. We either like it or not. I still love it, regardless of any fake-looking Jabba the Hutts we may see (referring to A New Hope, of course!)

I totally agree with you on that Ben. The Brittany Spears bit was way too contrived. It just seemed like they trying too hard to be "contemporary", like we needed to have this bit of pop culture thrown in to make the movie funnier (it didn't work).

Not quite sure what you're implying Roger Ebert's review means here.

But, I'll tell you that I loved The Great Mouse Detective, and was surprised by how good it was. It it a great little secret that I know a lot of people haven't seen. Too bad for them. I have not seen the Black Cauldron yet.

O-o-o-okay.. I don't buy that, but.. whatever. I still hold that Roger Rabbit is a great, funny, and (potentially) classic character that could have an ever bigger audience if given the chance. But not on tv; I think tv would kill the character (figuratively, of course )

 They're relentless! I feel your outrage: it pissed me off just reading about it! When they catch them, the penalty needs to be very severe (very lenghty jail time in high security prison perhaps?). It's the only way to send the message to these scammers that it's not worth it to try doing th...

Roger Rabbit was/is GREAT!

Another consideration is was Roger Rabbit really that well-liked or popular in the first place? I kind of considered Roger Rabbit more obnoxious than Screwball Squirrel or Barney the Dinosaur with 1/10th the charisma of Magilla Gorilla (a dull character to begin with) and 1/1000 the intelligence of...

Thanks a lot for the heads up! I haven't received anything, but I since I do have an eBay credit card, I will keeps my eyes peeled for any scams like the one you mentioned. I think identity theft is the most vile and offensive of all theft. :x
