Well .. if no one else is gonna 'take' it, I will: Homer Simpson , in the episode Marge vs. the Monorail .. very probably my favorite Simpsons episode, of the whole series! It's certainly the one that makes me 'laugh out loud' the most; every gag in that episode is gold , from the Flintstones 'spoof...

That's odd; this is almost exactly the same cover art as the 'M-G-M Kids' re-release from a couple years ago. :o

See, I'm the opposite; I love the title Ratatouille .. precisely because it's a clever 'pun' that simultaneously conjures up the vision of french cuisine and, well, 'rats'. IOW, not just the protagonist, but the setting and his obsession. 8) I'm not a big fan of plain one-word titles (such as the ti...

NTSC ..? In France? :? I'm gonna sayyyyy .. bootleg. ----------- Addendum: "Paris Importers," eh? And Song of the South is the only DVD product they carry (how conveeeeenient) .. a DVD 'release' which no other retailer on the planet seems to have information on (including, most notably, the D...

Actually, there are no 'pop' songs in the sense you're talking about, SPACEHERO55 .. that is to say, no 'pre-existing' songs from top-40 radio 'needle-dropped' into the film, for no good reason. There are two gentle songs sung over montage sequences: "Another Believer" (sung by Rufus Wainwright) and...

I have some interest in doing this, myself. I'd probably only do it for 'select' titles, though .. I still have over 400 LD's; far too many to port over to DVD (my shelf space is at a 'premium', as it is). Now, if an 'mp3'-style video format ever came along, that would make it possible to store 400 ...

I like the Robert Altman Popeye movie. :) It liberally blends elements of the comic strip and the animated shorts, which is why it 'confused' a great many people; Castor Oyl, Geezil, and Roughhouse were never in the Fleischer shorts, for example .. and Bluto/Brutus was not a recurring character in t...

Spoiler! :) :P (BTW, and this might very well have been intentional--did anyone notice that adult Cornelius/Louis sounded A LOT like Walt Disney? :) ) Actually, he sounded like .. Tom Selleck. :P Actually, Cornelius is voiced by Tom Selleck . 8) ~~=oP Hence, why he sounds like Tom Selleck. (I'd bet...

Franny was great; I especially liked her 'sing-songy' line, "we need some-one on maa-RAA-caaas!" :)

And I agree with PixarVixen; not enough Lazlo or Tallulah ..

I just saw it a second time; again at midnight, again in 3-D .. though, not at the El Capitan. I will catch a 'flat' screening eventually, if only to see the Mickey-Donald-Goofy cartoon, Boat Builders . Like many 'time-travel' movies, though, it's impossible to have the same 'experience' as the firs...

My mistake; Adam West had mentioned McKim just before that lady went up, so I'd assumed that's who she was. Either way, it was pretty obvious Mr. West's time on stage was being 'cut short'. The audience took it in stride, though; the cheering never stopped! It was a great audience to s...

Adam West didn't say anything overtly 'off-color' .. but the 'innuendo' was definitely there. He was raised onto the stage with the theatre's Wurlitzer organ (which rises/descends through the stage, via a trap door), and the first thing he said, before even standing up, was "I can see you're all adm...

Ed Grimley was a character which Martin Short created (and played) on the sketch comedy television series SCTV, in the mid-1980's. The cartoon show was a spin-off/adaptation from the live-action skits.
