Re: Disney's Frozen

I'm with Ben, let the sequel be another fairytale musical. Using the same songwriting team. That way you can have the promotion gimmick that was used in the 90s, from the song writing team of Mermaid/Beauty/Aladdin but this time obviously using Frozen. It's probably the main reason I'm so happy for ...

Re: Disney's Frozen

I can definitely deal with sequel shorts, or those Toy Story ones that get dumped on TV.

Re: Disney's Frozen

Well said Eric. Did I just type that. I honestly cannot think of a single story idea that would justify another a visit to this world. The only ones I can think of a very contrived and ridiculous. Maybe they can rescue Marshmallow or have an expedition to resue Elsa's crown from Marshmallow. I would...

Re: Disney's Frozen

A part of me wishes that all the people buying the soundtrack are also enjoying the score section. But I imagine many purchasers listen from the opening track to Demi's Let It Go and then quickly jump back to Track 1. While I am sceptical it will happen, hopefully this will encourage more score trac...

Re: Planes: Fire & Rescue

LOL Dacey. I just checked my copy of Planes and it got a G rating in Australia. With the standard disclaimer of some scenes may frighten very young children (who should not be exposed to anything traumatic until they sneak into a cinema to watch Saw XVI and the age of 10) And Eddie, while I love Fro...

Re: Planes: Fire & Rescue

I admit I enjoyed the first Planes movie (even more than any of the Cars movies), even if it was a retread of the first Cars movie. I guess I just not a fan of car related movies (live action or animated), but yet can tolerate plane related movies. Or perhaps I'm clouded by the fact that my then 3 y...

Looks impressive. Looking forward to it. Also like how the characters have aged.

Re: DreamWorks presents Peabody and Sherman

Why do CGI directors/producers think that everything has to look photoreal/realistic? Totally agree with this statement, and it's one of my pet peeves. One of the many joys I have in watching an animated movie is marvelling at the idea that everything was created by hands, and it does annoy me a bi...

Re: Shrek 5 on the way?

I'm not sure I'm ready for another Shrek and to be honest I don't think the movie watching community is clammering for another Shrek. I'm one of those people who didn't find Shrek hilarious and ultimately was disappinted with the lack of fairytale lampooning that happened in that movie. Then couple ...

Re: 2014 Live Oscar Chat

I hope everybody has a great time in the chat room while the OScars are on. I felt since I have started a new job this year, it was a bit too early in the year to take a sickie to watch the Oscars live this year. I am very jealous, especially since the nomated songs this year are strong and would be...

Re: Disney's Frozen

When I saw Frozen in the cinema and that sauna scene came up I saw a husband and wife with 3 kids. And heard the way Oaken spoke was someone who speaks English as a second language. Even looking at the screencap on the net, I still see a heterosexual couple and their children. This thing reminds me ...

Re: Disney's Frozen (formerly Snow Queen) 2013

I know it's not a dead horse and very successful and perhaps I should have chosen a better slang term. But I still think its a ridiculous notion to do one. but if people want to go and sing along with the movie so be it. I personally prefer to enjoy my musicals without audience joining in. It's a pe...
