Bob Zemeckis

Oh right, I forgot BZ is Jewish!

Spielberg might also have been an interesting choice to direct PE. :P

Polar Express

PE's special effects and big names like Tom Hanks will have EVERYONE wanting to see it. It doesn't matter if you're Jewish or don't celebrate Christmas, it makes no difference as far as I know. Jews are like anyone else and want to see entertaining films, period. Only very religious Jews would proba...

Shrek 2

It will be a Pixar vs Dreamworks battle. That's it. Zemeckis is the wild card. Shyviolet only wants Shrek to win because it's DW. Incredibles is the better film though. Oscar should reflect the quality of a film, not current trends or politics. Spongebob will get that 5th nomination by name recogni...

JK

"Wasn't FOTP a Katzenberg project?" Yeah it was...I never got the chance to watch it, unfortunately, since I haven't had access to a TV in a long time. I was a little shocked by what I saw in the previews, but I thought it was kind of cute. I liked Larry the Lion and his family, they looked cu...

redneck car

mr. squarepants wrote:At the showing of The Incredibles that I went to, the crowd didn't respond too well to the Cars trailer... well, except for that quick last-minute shot of the redneck truck.
Yeah that was SO cute.

Pixar

I really agree with Ben and George C. The problem (well, if you see it as a problem) is that Pixar is REALLY conservative and stoic about their "forumla" and that it stays within parameters (more or less) with every film. This can be good as well as bad. They don't like taking too many risks, which ...

Benny

Also don't forget Benny the cab in Roger Rabbit! :)

Except his eyes were the headlights (otherwise how could Eddie ride him??) Now THAT was some cool special effects.

train

Also not to be mean or pick on this movie even more, but the picture and especially the teaser made me think of that British show with the talking train or caboose or whatever it is. I forget the name. I know that the technology is tons better than that, but the look seems kind of similar.

teasers

I really liked hearing that "Bug's Life" music tho. I really loved that film. It's the last one that Lassetter directed....Now he's got another shot. Liked hearing Owen Wilson's voice: he was the original Kuzco I think! Still i agree with Ben about teasers....they tell you a lot and they basically r...

Ha ha. That's really cute. Also I like your signature. Thanks! I appreciate that. Actually- and I promise I am not just saying this to be polite- I was admiring your signature earlier today. And I think it's especially cool how we both have Jeffrey Katzenberg avatars (just kidding!). Seriously, tho...

I'm also shocked Sky Captain wasn't nominated, if that isn't nominated, then The Polar Express shouldn't be either. Just as a note, these 11 films have not been nominated, these are the 11 that are elegible to be nominated. -Michael PS: If the Red Sox could win a World Series after 86 years losing,...
