Re: Blue Sky's Rio

Saw this today in a packed theatre, and I'm sorry to say it was a disappointment (for me anyway). It wasn't a bad film, but it could've been a GREAT film. There was SO much potential. Instead we get a plot that's annoyingly predictable, lots and lots of expository dialogue, plenty of unfunny pop-cul...

Re: Charlie Brown Specials

Very disappointing indeed. I've been wanting to upgrade my VHS of Snoopy Come Home , for a while, but I've been holding off with the hopes that there would be a better DVD with more features. Guess that won't be anytime soon. :( Such a shame that there still hasn't been a DVD release of either of th...

Re: Cartoon Opening Chain

 My goodness...

I've never even heard of that, and I guess that's deservedly so. Anyway, its fast talking, green, googly-eyed main character made me think of this:

Re: Cartoon Opening Chain

I miss this game! Here's the next link in the chain after Droo's last post (nearly a year ago). The video above initially made me think of The Maxx , but that never had an intro of its own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlkzHSDoMpc&feature=watch_response Judging by the trend, this thread gets resur...

Re: The New DVD and Blu Thread

Eh, sometimes all it takes is one clueless stock person who opens the wrong box (despite the fact that the box says "Do not open until -street date-" in large bolded letters). and an equally clueless manager who doesn't stay on top of these things, thus never notices.

Nice! Very nice! Thanks for posting those. I'd remembered you saying a few times that you repackaged all your DVDs and I had been curious to see what your collection looked like. :D

Re: The Disney Vault and You

Survey fun! - Do you consider yourself a collector, and if so, how many Disney DVDs/Blu-rays do you own? I am, but unlike many animation enthusiasts who make it a point to own all of the classics, I only buy the films that I actually like (I passed on the recent blu release on Alice in Won...

Re: The New DVD and Blu Thread

Heh, I was intrigued enough to netflix the first disc of the series, so we'll see how that goes. Hey Ben, nice review on Bambi btw. There's only one thing that I totally disagreed with you on. I've never considered the interlude for I Bring You a Song to be too long, or drawn out. That's p...

Re: The New DVD and Blu Thread

Grr... I really want Nausicaa , but I'm trying not to spend a lot of money, and I just got Bambi this week (I kinda felt obligated to, as it's my favorite traditionally animated film of all time). On a related note, I finally caught Castle of Cagliostro on netflix this weekend, and really enjoyed it...

Re: Am I the only one who didn't like Toy Story 3?

Pixar is still my favorite animated studio Um, yeah... I could've sworn that you repeatedly stated in several other threads that you hated Pixar. :? Ah well. As confusing as this thread is becoming, at least we persuaded him to drastically change an opinion. That's more than can be said for Dusty. ...
