Agree agree agree!! :) :) Loved this movie. Loved it! Loved it some more! Sooooo scary, those ships that came out of the ground! Tom was excellent, even better than Minority Report IMO. Yeah Dakota was great, Spielberg's definetely good with kids. Totally agree about his son. Soooooo annoying, and I...

I think the films' plots/orchestration generally got tighter and better crafted as they went along, reaching a peak with "The Lion King." Aladdin's my fave Ashman-Menken, even though I know it wasn't ALL him. But I love the score in Aladdin, even more than Beauty if that's possible! It's so just so ...

"I'm usually nervous to meet people that I admire because what if they're not cool or something?"
What is he, thirteen?

That's a cool site.

Formula, formula...Couldn't it just be a sort of coincidence? It's not like Pixar says, "Okay...we need to make another buddy movie. Any ideas?" The Incredibles isn't a buddy flick. A Bug's Life is stretching it, as is Finding Nemo (couldn't imagine Marlin trying to find Nemo on his own!). Both Toy...

My biggest complaint about Pixar films is that they usually ARE a road picture/buddy film. With only 2 exceptions, they have followed this FORMULA for every film they've made since Toy Story 1. Pixar is a family entertainment company, no doubt... However, like every other company after they get so ...

You guys know that Little Shop was an amazingly successful of-Broadway musical version of a 1962 Roger Corman el-cheapo horror, right? Oh yeah, I read that movie was shot in two days on a Hollywood backlot. And a really young Jack Nicholsan played the Bill Murry role! Wow, never knew all that about...

I liked Land, maybe not as much as American Tale or Nimh, but it's a handsome film with cute characters who are different (and sound like real kids, since the voice artists are always kids--another great thing about Bluth movies.) than the usual "spunky scrappy animated guy/girl." Bluth has the mark...

Lee, for one, is more willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the filmmakers, perhaps because he's seen the movie in its entirety. "The nature of the character Willy Wonka is not Michael Jackson," he says. "Willy Wonka hates children--that there sets him apart from Michael Jackson." Ugh, what t...

From the Did You Know column: Ashman and Menken were very aware that Part Of Your World was like Somewhere That's Green, and the joke working title for the song was indeed "Somewhere That's Dry"! OMG that's hilarious! BTW if you think about it, Ariel wouldn't just need legs to live on land, b...

"Part of Your World" is also a lot like that song "Somewhere that's Green" from Little Shop of Horrors--Ashman/Menken too!! :) That's where Audrey sings about how she would like to have a better life and one day be married to Seymore. That film has an awesome score too! Love that Dentist song! :D

Very nice to see Sanders and Gaskill working on the same project again, wasn't the last one The Lion King? I'm very much looking forward to this!

Didn't Sanders do Lilo and Stitch too?

"Yup yup yup!"

Hint: Not a Disney film. (but released in theaters.)
