That would make a really nice cover image, but it's not going to happen with Roy Disney's sig on it! ;) But what to fill the two discs? Here's my personal run down of what they could do to bolster up material. The first disc, of course, would be devoted to SOTS and some behind the scenes material (e...

Been GAGGIN' to see some of this! Wow! Have to say though, that it does look a lot like a Nightmare re-tread, at least visually. That's no bad thing at all when that was as visually scrumptious as it was, but I hope it's not a case of trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice. The new story does l...

Interesting! We got a two-pack like that here in the UK (which is a much better way of storing them). BUT... not only would I not buy this pack since the movies are pretty bad (and both screened on TV here over Crimob anyway), but also because King Of Thieves has been cropped to 1.85:1, when it was ...

I always thought the Lion King thing was fake. You can either see "SFX" in the cloud dust, or you can see "SEX"... it's up to the viewer (and yes, I'm looking at the LD here). The Rescuers thing was weird. I can't remember the artist, but the "girlie picture" is actually a work of art (I think by Pi...

Mickey - we're not "ganging up" on you!!

But your lollipops stink, and I could have told you that from the trailer! ;)

I love images like that. You just know that someone at Disney/Lucasfilm/whoever-wants-to-point-out-what-a-great-job-they're-doing has spent time adding just a little more dirt and grime to those "before" sides! Does look good though, but the trailer has had all these cleaned up shots on it for a whi...

Well, that's just messed up!

What the heck is going on there? Seems they have squished the pics to 16x9 screen size and gone on a brighten/soft spree.

I don't think either are a sign of what the finished image will look like, though. :)

Of course, it was the way Disney marketed it that was wrong! M Night didn't have a single word in how they put it out, did he? He didn't come up with the whole "Buried Secret" idea and appear and promote The Village with that, did he? He didn't suggest the poster image (apparently taken by him perso...

Going back to Mickey A's original question about remaking the hits... Are you NUTS?? Filmmaking, for all it's "art", is seen as a money making busniess by the Studios. Therefore, if a film is none too successful with critics, but goes out and does decent business, what is reasoning is there to remak...

The whole Blockbuster thing sounds stoopid.

How can they ever say when they'll have a movie in?

Mind you, and despite you being a "Sharlatan" fan, I think they did you a favor this time, Mr SP.

Catch it on TV for free in a few months. ;)

I wish that insteading of remaking classics, studios would remake bad films that were big hits. You've lost me again! :) George - the Batman serial, of which I have on taped-off-air VHS, really is a pretty cool little thing, for what it is, with stories with Kane himself. I will be joining you in p...

Shame you had to compress them so much to upload them - it does take away a bit from having a look at how it will turn out. Glad to see they've not wiped out the grain completely - Bambi was shot on different stock to the usual Disney features to give it a deeper, darker look in order to get the low...

That's a lot of text screens!

Wanna translate and share the goodness? I hope they're not simply screens of info instead of video material.

I'm not so sure, James! I thought the Michael Moore bashers around here would get a kick outta this one (from today's IMBD, reprinted here in case it flies away): Member of N.Y. Film Critics Circle Blasts Michael Moore for No-Show The lead film critic of the New York Daily News has taken Michael Moo...

I just don't understand where all of these people who supposedly love Joey so much are on Thursday nights. Suppose there's someone out there who thought Phantom of the Opera was the greatest film of all time. If it were nominated, that person could vote as many times as he or she wanted, thus possi...
