Oo, is "Christmas with Walt Disney" another rare 50s-60s special from the Archive, or just D+'s own thrown-together cash-in?
I dare not hope they finally dug up Walt's Peter Pan Christmas-special that never appeared on the discs like the Alice special did.

Re: Oral history for 30th anniversary of We’re Back!
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story has a great *look* to it, but the film goes nowhere! It is, however, completely batty, random and nonsensical that it’s kind of loveable for those reasons. This was early-90s, back before Spielberg and Katzenberg got together to make more DreamWorks Lion King clones, ...

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!
Hahahaha…"semi-classic". Night At The Opera and Day At The Races are considered the apex of their MGMs, with (slightly) more coherent plots than even their gag-based Paramounts. So the Marxes is a must — one of their best — (Groucho gives Margaret Dumont a horse pill) Lawyer: "Isn't that a little l...

Re: Garfield
One Twitter user pointed out a rather notable point about 20's animateds: https://twitter.com/TheRealJimsYT/status/1724110710651728054 Just like Mario before, Chris Pratt's Garfield also has daddy issues. How hard was it to make a story about Garfield, Odie, and Jon? Why should anyone care about Gar...

Yeah, whatever happened to the old Katzenberg glory-days of "Animation is dead, because nobody went to see Ruby Gillman!"?

Re: Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread
Temple of Doom involved the villain ripping out someone's heart. Everyone complained about how it shouldn't have gotten a PG rating and how it portrays Indians as savages who eat monkey brains. And about how nails-on-chalkboard annoying Kate Capshaw was compared to Karen Allen, and then made inappr...

Of the many reasons given for the film's underperformance, congratulations:
I'm pretty sure you are the FIRST person on planet Earth to offer that rationalization.
(The safer theories went with "Old", "Depressing", and "No Spielberg".)

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
One person familiar with the script permutations says the story at one point morphed into a narrative led by women and filled with life lessons. Blade was relegated to the fourth lead, a bizarre idea considering that the studio had two-time Oscar winner Ali on board. That definitely SOUNDS like a p...

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)
Fan rumors about whether the project would quietly disappear during strike delays were all over the Internet, and could swear we already had one about Disney officially dropping foot-mouthed Rachel Ziegler, now that they were going back to square one. But no--Because studios, once they invest a lot ...

Re: Looney tunes return to the big screen in new animated film!
Also, even just from the art style, and recognition of Petunia's existence, this has the look of coming from those freakish Max cartoons, with the passive-hostile animator-insider grudge against 30's-40's LT shorts, animation style and tropes.
I thought they cancelled those...

Um, isn't regular Crunchyroll ALREADY available free with ads?
And with an actual slate of titles people have heard of?
(While PlutoTV has 24/7 FWA streaming-broadcast channels of Sailor Moon, Lupin III, Naruto, and Case Closed.)
