"Look, what Family Guy and South Park do is poke fun at the absurdity of all the politically correct crap in society as well as a lot of our social hypocrisy. And what I like in particular is that both shows satirize BOTH extremes (the extremely liberal and the extremely conservative). " But you can...

Meh is so/so.

If you guys accept sub par crap as good you'll only get more lower standard crap. I hold high standards. Pixar nearly always reaches them.

Oh yes that must be it. You can't deny the fact that film quality have declined signifigantly in the last few years. It's because when you accept crap you get served even more crap. Why should a studio care to do quality stuf when the audience will let them get away with sub par work?

Family Guy and South Park are unfunny and try way too hard to be edgy and offensive. That's the only reason they are still around. American is the same sort of show. At least the Simpsons and Kng of the Hill tell stories that don't revolve around poop, pee, and racial humor to get their laughs. Yeah...

I was speaking of Disney. He sued them a few times so that probably adds to why he rarely gets spoken of. There is no conspiracy. He has been shown and mentioned several times in books and DVDs since he left. He was not the dominating force as Disney he'd have you believe. You've been duped. The rea...

It was said in a riff with Robin. Little Mermaid used to have images of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy with guns or something in carvings on King Triton's throne. Some veideos are out there with this still intact from the 90 release. Only some are out there because Disney caught this cut it out and start...

" I've read letters and excerpts printed on SaveDisney.com. These people think of Roy as the second coming, that Frank Wells saved Disney and that Michael Eisner is the antiChrist. They NEVER mention Katzenberg." Maybe because whenever they do mention him he sues them.... "And what about Fantasia 20...

What's the Lilo rumor?

I was in an advertising class and i wonder about Sex in the Lion King. We studied ads where all sorts of words are hidden in lighting, folds, ribbon, etc. and we looked at Lion King too. It's possible it's SEX and not SFX.

Yeah, look at how great those ideas of good old Katzenbergs were. The man is highly over rated plain and simple and no one ever said anything about Roy.

How many times have we told you how he treated animators now? Give me a break. Katzenberg is not a flawless great man. He was just in the right place at the right time. End of story.

As for Pixar executives, they know enough to stay out of the creative process. Disney Executives would rather dabble.

I thought all the members select from all the films each year. Not a bunch of old guys. I think DEcember movies do well because they are the most fresh in the Academy/public minds.
