Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
haha basically. For those that saw it, did your showing have Ariel's aah aah aahing in Eric's song? Cause I swear mine didn't, having listened to the song before viewing I was ready to hear them but didn't. I thought maybe it was a creative decision to slap them into the soundtrack version, but that...

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I still feel Marshall dropped the ball in the way he directed Wild Uncharted Waters, and the screenwriters put in no effort to transition to the song, so the presentation comes across as Eric having a tantrum.

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
That's why I love that they put the full song onto the album. Love listening to it, and it never should have been split into two.

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Sorry for the confusion Farerb, I referenced Menken as shorthand for the 3 movies I wanted to compare, without having to dump things like Cinderella or Mulan into the mix. Strangely enough though, I think my rankings would still be the same, even ignoring Emma Watson's singing I will never forgive t...

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Aladdin is first. I refuse to name the third movie because I dislike it that much.
I don't recall saying anything about the main title and now that I think of it, I can't even remember the main title being revealed haha.

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I walked out of my viewing wondering how a director who was been nominated for a variety of directing awards linked to musicals (especially film musicals) completely stuffed up filming the musical numbers in this film. Most are void of energy and fun. Halle's tone and facial expressions in Part of Y...

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Not as iconic!? That’s rubbish! Whole point of this reprise was to state Ursula's intentions now that she’s met Eric and wants him or herself (or at least to humiliate him). Just "ahh ahh ahh ahhh"-ing Ariel's bit and then "la la la lah"-ing the lyric part doesn’t give us anything and may as well n...

Re: Barbie live action film
"Barbie World" music video: (mild language) Hate it. Aside from hearing Aqua in the background, I think it's trash. At least Aqua would be getting some money from that 'piece of music'. So, someone somewhere had the idea that a song could be made by playing the chorus of a known song in the backgro...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
I tend to play TV catchup when I'm on my term breaks as I have more free time. This idea that I need to be watching a show the moment it drops is ludicrous and just as ludicrous as removing original content created for the streamer off their service. I guess the early days of streaming where the ser...

How did I miss that Secret Invasion's first episode had dropped? I honestly thought it began last week. And I call myself a fan of the MCU.

Re: DC Universe
I was talking about the end of the movie - nothing credits related. My main issue is I am not a fan of George Clooney at all, so getting this uncredited cameo is not the attraction the studio was hoping it would be to get me into the cinema, it does the opposite. Plus getting the actor from the 'wor...

Re: DC Universe
After reading the plot on Wikipedia and reading how the movie ends, my desire to see the film went out the window. I understand (kinda) why they chose that path because the other option isn't really available. But out of every possible scenario they could have gone with they chose THAT one???
