I love Mad, but it's so hard to get it here in the UK.

Regular subscriptions are prohibitively expensive, so it's down to hunting down the odd copy here and there.

I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for this one though - thanks for the heads up! :)

I was fine with it. You posted it in GenDis, and the way I see it, isn't spam usually from when a new member suddenly pops up on a forum and starts saying how great a certain product is? I mean, it's usually someone promoting stuff. In this case, it's not really promoting a website (or at least one ...

One thing Disney never does is say "from the creators of...".

The Disney brand is the selling point.

Toy Story, Bug's Life and Toy Story 2 were all true co-pros with Disney. The Mouse House had story approval, storyboarding was done between Pixar and WDFA, and both sides were equal in creativity. It was Pixar who suggested the re-vamp TS2 for theatrical after John Lasseter was dismayed at what he s...

In the late 1980s, Dinosaur was going to be a stop-motion animated film, produced by Phil Tippet and directed by Paul Verhoeven (Hollow Man, RoboCop). It was going to be all "silent" (no speaking dinos) and be an apocalyptic story about the end of the dinos and the "handing" of life on the planet to...

What gets me is that after all that wait from last MAY, there was no "from the director of The Incredibles" sticker!

What exactly were we waiting for then, WB???

Seeing this tomorrow (out in the UK from Friday).

Guessed the "baby super powers thing" even before Ed blew this plot point for me. ;)

I also think that Cars - while it may not bomb - will be Pixar's first less than stellar commercial release.

Let us know how they do the aspect change. From what I understand, Imax films are shot "open matte", meaning that added picture information, as on some animation films, is present. It's the way some motion pictures are transferred to video, so that image is not lost left and right. Check out the fra...

And you just know that THAT's gonna happen.

I'd expect a sequel in around three years, once Disney's done with their Toy Story 3.

Edited a couple of posts here. Let's keep this on track people.

And Ed, please post your works on your own site (copyrighting something here is not only obnoxious, but also public domain). :)
