Virgin is huge...they have the airline, publishing, the megastore outlets, etc... All part of Richard Branson's empire...

That's the best way to do these things...use the recorder to capture footage and edit and "package" it on computer. You're also more likely to end up with a disc that will play in more players, able to make an image file back up, etc...

I'm not saying there WON'T be a 2-disc - hey, the Mouse and the Lamp will make money off of anything - but just to say that the emphasis may well be on their bigger cousin Blu-Ray Disc editions from now on.

Release dates will change depending on the films. All my comments above is conjecture...I have no way of knowing what they're thinking. Pirates has been lurking around. Look for them to go ape two weeks before. Pirates 2 was SO big all they need to say is "look, Pirates 3...NOW!" and people are there. They just don't need to "sell" this one as much - people know it is coming and they'll wait until the last minute to say "okay, go!" ...

And they wonder why people just wait a couple more weeks and import the DVD.

I'd be surprised if Rat isn't out by September or October anyhoo, certainly by mid-November, which I can wait for.
