Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

I remain unswayed. I don't need a Trilogy set, as I have the other films in enough editions already. And the Trilogy set, while nice if collecting them for the first time, doesn't seem to have anything else I would need. It doesn't specify yet if it has 4K discs included, though it does say 8 discs....

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

It does have the Snyder featurette Road to Justice League, which I think has been on the international releases.

The first was surprisingly enjoyable, so I look forward to this.

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

Given her role in WSS, I had assumed she could sing, dance, and act!

In the photo above, she looks older. I did look at other photos of her since, and did think she was looking quite young in those.

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

Ziegler is a real beauty, so I'd be happy to see her in anything; but I look forward to Snow White a little more than West Side Story, which seems likely to be good, but ultimately redundant. However, the fact that Spielberg wanted to do it at all, and is so enthusiastic, does have me intrigued. Doe...

Re: Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Live-Action)

Levity is okay. But "A Guy Like You" just took it way too far, for me. I cringe all the way through that number. Too goofy, too juvenile, too much with the armpit noises. It just didn't fit. I hate that part, in a film that I otherwise love. Having talking gargoyles was okay, as a concept. But they ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)

We were eligible for our second shot this past week, but were going to wait until we take our teenagers in next weekend, when they'll be eligible too. But the more I thought about it, the more anxious I became to just get 'er done. My wife and I discussed it last night, and decided to go for it. We ...

Re: Getting reference in drawing canines

Sure. You can get inspiration from many sources. But the very best way to learn to draw is from life. Learn to draw what is real, and extrapolate from there.

Re: Pixar's Luca

We just watched Luca, and all enjoyed it. We chomped on pizza and scones as we watched, and it was a great prelude to Father's Day. Like Bill, I found it a little slow at first, and way too reminiscent of The Little Mermaid, as well as Finding Nemo. But then it found its own groove, and proved to be...

Re: Getting reference in drawing canines

Just throwing this out there, but maybe take a look at dog photos? Lord knows there are plenty of books about dogs, not to mention images online. And if you want a reference for the skeleton and the muscular system, you need a veterinary anatomy atlas. There are even cheap colouring books available ...

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

Um, no. I don't feel that way at all. And you can't really, either, since you have never seen Picard. :? I can accept someone not liking how it ended, given what happened, but I thought it was valid in the context of the story, even dating back to Next Gen. Picard becoming a synthetic was set up fro...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Watched the Snyder Cut, then the Epilogue a week later, following others' advice to avoid it on the first viewing... I liked the film! By virtue of fleshing things out more, I thought it was way better than the Whedon version, which felt so horribly truncated. And it wasn't as dark and depressing as...
