When you watch a dubbed foreign film do you focus on the fact that their mouths don't match what they say? Don't we suspend disbelief at shows like Sesame Street or the Muppets when the character faces aren't close to using lifelike movements? Just sit back and watch it knowing that the motion capt...

It's all content, amigo. They may consider it, given the circumstances. They sold Casino Royale to MGM so that MGM could own all the Bond films (but then they did buy MGM itself, so got that back)! Then again, a license split could be arranged, as has happened with Warners' Stanley Kubrick box set, ...

Batman Returns is the perfect Batman movie, for all the reasons stated above. I'm just chiming in to gets some facts straight: Danny Elfman only "kind of composed" the theme for the original 90s' version of the WB cartoon (it was actually adapted from his film theme). Shirley Walker, a long-time Elf...

I have to say - and this is nothing new...I posted a similar remark in our older forum - that I like Eisner. Not his many legacy ruining decisions, but as a guy. I read his autobiography "Work In Progress" and for anyone who's a fan (or a detractor), it's a great read. He basically worked his way up...

Tron is definitely NOT "best forgotten"! But it speaks volumes that, as a HUGE Bob Z fan and someone who likes Hanks as an actor, that I haven't caught Polar Express yet, even though it's been out a week here in the UK (the fact I've been unltra busy hasn't helped), but I don't feel the urge to run ...

He doesn't seem to list any extras, but I would wager that it's the exact same edition as this one in the UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006RHW4/qid=1102240888/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/026-2864497-7710844 Note that this sells with Treasure Island as well, which is also a "Special Edito...

Yep. For a while last year, Disney sold this set as a "catch-up" for those who had not learnt about the series. It was, as George says, a Costco exclusive, and a part reason (so rumored) as to why the last wave was held back (to allow consumers to pick up the first waves and be tempted by the third)...

I loved the blending of the '77 stuff with the new too. Seems they did a bot of color correction to get it all right. The only shot that stood out there was the "video game" look of all the Stormtroopers hesding into the star destroyer. Wasn't a fan of the Vader reveal either. Needs something bigger...

Sounds very cool! The stage show used set blocks for the staging, with the "locations" actually projected onto them. It was all very avant garde, but from what I saw and a second-hand account, it worked very well. Shame about the TV movie version. I hope it's done well. TV does seem to be upping the...

Well, at least Singer is doing Superman.

The first Donner version is apparently what inspired him on the X-Mens, so there is much hope.

Plus the casting looks like it's going the right way, and Spacey as Lex? It's all too good to be true!

Let's hope Elisha signs as Lois and it'll be perfect. :)

Exactly why is this a "questionable new Batman movie poster"?

It's Bats, with his arms crossed, looking deeply troubled in that Bruce Wayne way.

That's his belt, by the way...

I have the disc too and will be doing the DVD Toons review. I have to say, without having a chance to go throguh it all yet, that this set is pretty packed, but the extras from the previous LaserDisc and DVD incarnations would have made it definitive. Check out the new 40th Anniversay CD soundtrack ...
